Way to represent the conference, unlike a certain team I can think of. Go utes and congrats on an amazing season

I have been a UTE fan my whole life and I have never been more frustrated watching the UTES as I have with Brian Johnson as quarterback. There have been times when I wished he wasn't our guy. I must admit, he has had a great year and it has been less stressful watching him this year as it was last year. He deserves all kinds of praise for learning not to panic and do stupid plays on the field. He is also very deserving of this MVP trophy! Congrats Brian, good luck with your future and thanks for taking us on this fun ride!

Again... The greatest MWC quarterback getting some recognition.

HONK if you sacked JP Wilson!

HONK twice if you intercepted MAX HALL!

Way to make snide comments when the majority of Cougar fans are ecstatic about your win. What a jerk.

I confess I've been ripping on Brian Johnson through much of the season wondering just how legit he really is. But he really did earn a ton of respect tonight. Congrats on a huge win for the conference!

Uh, who are you talking about?

What snide remarks? Could you guide me to the post you're supposedly reading?

Great job Brian. I hope the NFL scouts will consider you. You certainly have the arm strength, intellegence, and savy of a professional QB.

"Uh, who are you talking about? What snide remarks? Could you guide me to the post you're supposedly reading?"

He's talking about the very first post ...

"Way to represent the conference, unlike a certain team I can think of."

It's a fill in the blanks comment ...

What Mountain West team failed to win their Bowl game?

BYU

I agree with the poster ... it's no time to be bashing BYU. They had a very good season. They just ran into Utah and TCU teams that were better.

And yes, I'm a Utah fan. Let's show some class and leave the anti-BYU comments off these posts.

It's a time for all Mountain West teams (and mid-Majors) to be happy that Utah pummeled a "supposedly" better team from a "more prestigious" conference.

This was a win for Utah, its coaches, players, fans, and for the MWC, and BYU, as well! I have never seen the MWC disrespected by every major analyst and commentator as I did leading up to this game! Well, they're all eating crow now, aren't they!
We smoked the second best team in the SEC, and a team that was ranked #1 in the nation, leading up to their loss to Florida!
BJ stepped his game up! He looked more calm in this game, than he did vs. BYU and TCU. If this game is indicative of how football is in the SEC, Utah should abandon the MWC for the SEC, where we can beat up on cupcakes like 'Bama week in and week out.
BJ, the coaches, the offense, special teams, everyone stepped up......BUT, and this is a big BUT, my MVP was the Utah defense! No offense to BJ, but the defense, once again, were the true BCS KILLERS!
Thanks BYU fans for giving us props, it means a lot!

Could also have been referring to the Air Force bowl game loss. I would not jump to conclusions so quickly. Theres not way to prove he was referring to BYU.

Heck of a season, sad to see its over.

I think Alabama thought the game was in the Georgia Dome...
