If I had to bet the ranch my head tells me to bet on Alabama, but I'm going w/ my heart - go Utes 27-13. P.S. I wonder how long it will take before the Yner fans start posting and crying?

Alabama is going to smoke the Utes!!

Sincerely,
Alabama fan who has never seen the Utes play and know nothing about them, and
Bitter, angry, jealous, Ute-obsessed TDS fan

P.S. And if (when?) Utah wins, the Utes were fetchin' lucky!!

Utes chances are good | 7:01 a.m. Dec. 31, 2008
I watched the Kentucky vs Alabama game the other day on CBSC and Alabama would have lost at home to Kentucky if Kentucky didn't keep messing up. The Utes have every bit as much size as Kentucky and I believe the Utes have better quickness and a better defense.

For those who get on here and keep saying that the Utes are going to get rolled, it is obvious that you are just spitting out venomous garbage because of your immature jealousy of what you don't have. Get over it. In the long run, this is all good for the TDS too.

Go Utes, it took about 30 minutes for the wanna
Be a BCS Team, Y fans to respond. Quite awhile, considering they have nothing to do since their season ( the less than perfect one) is over. I've watched Bama all year long, Utah does have a chance and a good one at that. One can only image the Y fans if the UTES do win. Kinda makes me sick just thinking about it.
Go UTES, give it you best and we will hope that is good enough.

Lo these many years ago there was one undefeated team left in the nation. And behold, it was the guys down south. And behold, the powers that be had no choice but to name them number one. And thus was the BCS born so that such a pesitlence may never again strike the big conferences.
Can history repeeat itself?
I had a dream last night. Utah won 23-0. Well, we can hope, anyway. I'll settle for a good, old fashioned Utah by 5!
Go Utes! DEATH TO THE BCS!
Conflicted | 10:45 a.m. Dec. 31, 2008
I am conflicted. I want the Utes to represent and beat 'Bama. But it is so hard to do that when *some* Ute fans are so insufferable. I find it humorous that those fans still use BYU as their reference point a la "Ute Haters" non-ute fan poser comment earlier.
Oh well, their will always be those in any group I guess. Go ... go ... go ... (struggling to say it) ... Go Utes. And please oh Collie, please don't go.
What if... | 11:43 a.m. Dec. 31, 2008
the utes beat Alabama by 14< points and end up being the only unbeaten. Then, Florida wins a close one to Oklahoma. How can you deny the Utes a NC? USC will have a say after pummeling PSU but Utah beat the one team USC lost too. It should be the Utes if this is the case.

That said,

GO UTES!!!

The coaches poll does not give the coaches that posibility. The coaches are required to vote the winner of the BCS NC game number one no matter what else happens in all the other bowl games. They don't have an option.

The A.P. and Harrison polls do have that option, but will most likely not do what you are hoping even if all of what you said happens.

Kill the utes!

I'm just glad the Utes are there representing the MWC. If they lose a game then it would put them on par with every other top team in the country. If they win the game then they will be the only undefeated team this year. So there's a lot to gain, but not that much to lose considering they still get 17 million. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Utes do against a top team!

Go Utes!! A win will hopefully give the MWC somr recognition. The "BSC" will be history in the near future. And, i'm a die-hard BYU fan
Spudman | 10:14 p.m. Jan. 1, 2009
Boise State should have gotten the BCS game. They could easily whip Utah. Bama will crush the Utes, but the Broncos would keep it close.

First of all, Utah has a very good chance tonight. They may not win, but they certainly have a good shot. They'll earn a lot of respect for the MWC and the non-BCS by how they play tonight.

And for Spudman - I don't agree with you. Your win over Oregon looks good, but you didn't take care of business against TCU. If you had beaten TCU by more than Utah did, you might have a point. But since you lost, try it again next year.
