I would continue going to my nurse-midwive even if it cost more! Many who go to midwives deliver at a hospital. With my midwife I have experienced more support with the kind of birth I wanted (individual care), less surgical interventions so that it is easier to recover. I also received greater attention to my personal health though prevention and education (ie. better prenatal care). My nurse midwife has stayed with me for hours during delivery. I have had fewer complications when I listen to my body and do not adhere to the schedule or routine of someone else. With my first pregancy I went with an OB. That pregnancy was a lot more expensive (even though it did not need to be), and harder on my health.
How about birth control? That's even cheaper!!!
I would never go to o midwife I think that DR.'s are alot better, than Midwifes, by along shot, But what can i say we are all different,
