We play sports because we love them!! Not for recognition. We shouldn't expect to be covered and be appreciative when we are. All sports have challenging factors and deserve respect. Our state has produced some very talented athletes from every sport because those athletes work very hard to get there.
Joseph Smith was actually nominated by former BYU coach Mark Schultz (Olympic Gold Medalist) for the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. He was one of the best "catch style" wrestlers of his area with quite a reputation. He was also contemporary with another catch style wrestling legend of that area--Abraham Lincoln.
