What about Compean and Ramos?
Let campeon y ramos go too. If he was smart he would do it.
. . . pardons for Compean & Ramos are coming. Maybe on the last day.
It'll keep the pardon from becoming a sticking point in other important matters, and give the Dems less time to cry about it.
We're praying for them!
Who is David Woolsey?
You're calling US criers? Nice. You need a clearer mirror to look into.
Here is a little info on David Woolsey.
Offense: Aiding and abetting violation of the Archaeological Resources Protection Act; 16 U.S.C. section 470ee (a) and 18 U.S.C. section 2.
Sentence: Oct. 6, 1992; District of Utah; three years of probation conditioned on performance of 100 hours of community service.
to HSFAN
David Lane Woolsey, of St. George, who was charged in December 1991 with an archaeological crime, along with co-defendant Jimmy Barney. They were accused of excavating and looting artifacts near Boulder Creek in Garfield County in May 1991, according to former Assistant U.S. Attorney for Utah Wayne Dance, now retired. Woolsey was convicted of aiding and abetting a violation of the Archaeological Resources Protection Act and was sentenced on Oct. 6, 1992, to three years of probation, conditioned on his performance of 100 hours of community service
Not sure I see why Woolsey should have been pardoned. What does he want to do - run for office or something? Makes me wonder if he was related to the Woolsey that helped set up the road to the North rim of the Grand Canyon. Sad legacy if so.
I too, am praying that the President pardons Ramos & Compean...a terrible miscarriage of justice, that those two are in prison...this is what comes from a 'lack of border enforcement' mindset, and this mindset will continue, after Jan. 20, sad to say.
Thanks for the info on Woolsey.....have either of you guys ever considered a job in Newspaper journalism? LOL!
Woolsey is just a common thief, looting from the ancient dead and disrespecting the native americans. Bush should look into the Peltier case.
What were the others convicted of? Why were they pardoned? Journalism 101:who, what, when, where, and why?
That's GREAT that David Lane Woolsey is among 19 people being pardoned for various crimes as the president prepares to leave office.
I am sure among the 19,000,000 people being pardoned for various crimes as the-one "Obama president prepares to leave office will be a much higher number on that side of his coin.
re: c=o=n=g=r=a=t=s
You represent much of what is wrong with this country. Your comment just reeks of idiocy. You are berating Obama for something that according to you, he will do in eight years.
I mean, really?
Are you such are a blind partisan that you can't even speak to fact, or present?
I hope Campion and Ramos get pardons. What really frustrates me is that Bush let them spend a day in jail in the first place!
I hope that the Democrats don't have a problem with this particular pardon. If they do, then Houston we have a problem!
Campion and Ramos shot an unarmed, fleeing man in the back, and then covered it up. Why should they be pardoned any faster than any other felon?
I agree with "Congrats". Wouldn't any logical person speculate that the number will be higher from Obama?
Already a person is attacking obama for something he will do in the next 8 years...?/?????
You need to cut back on the coffee, my friend. Maybe what is wrong with this country right now is partisanship. I certainly saw it in that message.
They shot a drug dealer. Who said unarmed? The media who is trying to make some sort of examples out of them. Let's see, do I believe border patrol agents or a repeat offender drug dealer? You tell me!
Not quite. Cover up, maybe. But they shot a drug runner in the buttocks after he shot at them. They were trying to prevent him from fleeing across the border.
They gave this drug runner immunity in return for his testimony, and took his word over that of two law enforcement professionals.
Ramos and Campeon are not unmitigated heros, they should have reported the incident. But they are not felons, either.
