If I remember correctly the Utah basketball team beat Alabama's team a few years ago when Alabama was ranked number 1. Some of the Alabama players said they felt intimidated by the Utah cheerleaders and said that played a part in the upset loss. Maybe Utah can round up the same cheer squad and they can scare Alabama into another upset. Go Utes, good luck in New Orleans!
I say Roll Tide! Kill them utes!
Whatever helps you sleep at night bro... but we are still not going to return your Draino until we are absoultly sure you will only use it for its intended purpose.
Nice game Saturday night! Bronco should bring Timpview High for the next bowl game the TDS goes to! There is still room to jump on the UTE bandwagon. Although I am sure you and all the other TDS fans are just basketball fans!
The game against Alabama is going to be tough. But even if we lose to Alabama it could be worse. We could have lost to a 6-5 Arizona team in a below average bowl!
Ha, ha, ha....classic Cougar fan routing against Utah right after they got waxed by Arizona (yah, the almighty, powerhouse Arizona...and we're not talking about basketball). You should be more worried about your former heisman canidate QB that can't seem to step up for big games. 5 games this year against winning teams and only 2 wins...with the 3 losses being because of that former "heisman" canidate throwing interceptions, fumbling, and all around acting like a high school quarterback. Instead of trying to pick up all the Alabama lingo (ie. Roll Tide), worry about your secondary that is out run by the Alta High School pee wee receivers.
As for my Utes, win or lose, this was a heckuva season. Seeing how Utah plays well in these big games (unlike TDS), they actually have a shot.
Go Utes!!!! Cougar fans...go drink your egg nog because thats all you have to look forward to this holiday season.
I was at the Independence Bowl and I pasted the "Tide Rolled" billboard and saw all the Louisiana Monroe fans. Too bad that is the only thing that school apparently has to brag about, and the only trophy that Sharrit walked away with while at Louisian Monroe. That is not much of a legacy. Too bad he left his roots over an argument with a coach. One coach doesn't represent the whole university and shouldn't warrant a complete boycot and malice for the entire school. Doesn't seem like much a lose for Bama though.
The game is going to be a good one, but I hope Ute fans don't expect the Alabama players to come in with the same mind set they did when they played LA-Monroe. Go SEC and Go Alabama CRIMSON Tide!
Looks like the Y, U and TCU will have all gone down in flames.
So far MWC is 1-1. Luckily Utah and TCU have much more talent and guts than the withering Coogs. I'll be in San Diego tomorrow watching TCU romp and then spend the next 9 days cheering for the Utes. They can do it!!
RAMMER JAMMER YELLOW HAMMER
worst case scenario: Winning the MWC, going 12-1, losing to a team that was ranked #1 for a number of weeks...
best case scenario: Winning the MWC, going 13-0, beating a team that was ranked #1 for a number of weeks...
Either way, I would take them over: going 10-3, losing to both good teams they played, then losing to a weak Arizona team in some bowl game nobody knows about...
Plus, I am going to have much more fun in New Orleans at a BCS game than Vegas will ever be with two boring teams...
Every Utahn, every MWC fan and every opponent of the BCS death grip on colleage football's throat should be solidly behind the UofU. I am.
Every opponent of the BCS death grip should also avoid watching the game and every other BCS game, too. That might be a tall order, especially for Utah fans. If you do watch, please put every advertised product on your list of items not to buy anytime soon.
BYU choked in all its big games.
Ute eater strikes again!!!
Utah is the only MWC team to go to the BCS. What an embarrassment.
Ha ha! Ute Eater strikes again!!!
I just read that it is likely that TCU's best linebacker will not play in the BSU game because of an injury that was aggravated during practice. Hopefully, Jerry Hughes can apply pressure on BSU's freshman QB. The more I think about it, the more worried I am that TCU, Utah and AFA will lose (and that Utah will lose really big). A 1-4 bowl record for the MWC will really hurt our cause.
Give em Hell Alabama Physical Football with a little sugar on top.
I believe the tide will pitch a shutout, utah has played not opponents to even brag about. Alabama almost took out a monster but 3 horrible screw ups on defense led to those bs catches on the ground. Prediction:
Tide 35
Utes 0
If the Utah Utes want respect from the rest of the football nation them why don't they join a BCS conference? It is easy to beat up on the "bottom feeders" so they need to play with the the big boys every week, not every now and then. Does anyone think they would be 12 and 0 in the Big 12, SEC or Big 10? I don't think so. They play the Weber States and New Mexico and they run the table and talk that they belong, well they don't. Michgan was rebuilding this year, play them every year!! Play BAMA, LSU, Georgia, Pen State etc, every week and see who is undefeated, Not the Utes. This one and done playing major conference teams is a shame, then wanting to be in the NC!!! Get real. We will see how you do with a monster on Jan 2. Come out and play with the big boys and then talk about a NC shot.
Well look at that Mr. brilliant of course those BCS conferences have just been handing out invites left and right. I am certain that we have been turning them down two and three per year.
First of all, NO BCS team went undefeated so what are you yip yapping about.
Second, They might have gone undefeated in the Little 10.
Third, if Utah were in a BCS conference and had the money coming in, then they would also be able to recruit better kids and compete better.
utah hasnt a chance against our all powerful sec defense...remeber hawaii and georgia..well same story..sorry utah fans ur just too whimpy
