You can be certain Utah is full of corruption
Gloria Allred, Famous Attorney came to help the 70 year old Lawn Lady, When she left
She said she would nevfer come back to Utah
Case in point, The Courts are corrupt in Utah
Conviction and Collection Courts
This I know from personell experience.
We have Federal laws that protect the people from Government
The State is walking all over these laws
The cops are not trained properly
We do have Laws covering Civil Rights
We do have a law called freedom of Speech
Utah is walking all over that one as well
Utah has just exactly what it has
To dumb to vote these criminals out of office
how is bribery with this amount of money not a felony?
Why hasn't anyone picked up on the City Weekly cover story? What is this Grand Jury investigation that Sheriff Winder was ordered to conduct. I see from the comments that Chief Burbank and Lohra Miller "stonewalled the investigation." Has anyone looked into why Beau Babka and Robbie Russo were fired for undisclosed reasons and placed under a "gage order" after being involved in pushing for this investigation?
An why did the case against Hughes get dropped? I'm sorry but the "ethics" committee at the Utah state legislature should not be the final word in that matter.
Seriously, is nothing illegal in this state?
Maybe because no bribery took place.
Now, hopefully, Gill will have the Salt Lake City Police investigate it. They have no political stake and have many good investigators. An adequate review cannot be done without an adequate investigation.
Good you brought up Hughes SRD! What about Hughes? He was not vindicated like he and the media were quick to claim. He was censured by his colleges, told to apologize for his actions and change his attitude. Where is the apology Rep. Hughes? I dont see any remorse or attitude adjustments do you? The Mormon defense works again. We need a independent oversight body that answers to the public. Corruption will continue as long as we keep putting these people into office. In the end we deserve what we get.
As for the police, there's not much Gil can do. If he was the DA maybe things would be different.
