End of story. I'm sick and tired of "grown men" in the NBA and elsewhere who say one thing and do another, then are paid millions in the exchange (read Congress and the Wall Street bailout).
Just because boozer is large in stature obviously does not mean he is a "grown man".
NOTICE how Harpring used the word OBVIOUSLY three times in his statement to the press...similrly to Booze's own usage of the word in his statements...I think Harp was jabbin Booze's lack of vocabulary & speaking a little protest of Booze's crappy response. It would appear to be an OBVIOUS jab...to me. Obviously!
Maybe he should live a life like Austin Collie!!??
Magic happens, and the lord will help
Love,
Austin
There must be something the players said that didn't make the paper but I just don't see how these remarks can be taken as defending Boozer. Williams said it was "no surprise." If I say that Dennis Rodman doing something insane was "no surprise" to me it doesn't necessarily mean I have his back. If I were his teammate, I'd be a little put out to hear him say he's for sure getting a raise when we're struggling and just struggled for a comeback road win. The only player 'for sure' getting a raise should be Millsap.
And we grown up fans have a right to say what we think of the situation as well. See ya Booze!
BOOZER: Just pack up and go why don't you?
Go sit out half the season on someone else's payroll.
I heard in their comments that they defended his right to speak but not what he said. I think we are all tired of this Boozer. The other players on the team just have enough CLASS to keep inside the locker room.
If Carlos is hurting that bad, why does he travel with the team? Leave him in SLC to re-coup. Give that place on the team plane to someone that is really contributing.
Jazz fans are ridiculous. Just because Stockton and Malone were loyal to the Jazz, doesn't mean you should expect everone else to be. They were the last of the crowd that stayed with the same team their entire career. Now its very rare because there is a lot more money on the line. I believe Stockton and Malone made a combine $8 million dollars in 96-97, Boozer will probably be able to sign a contract for $15 million (I think he gets payed $11 right now?) Thats a $4million dollar raise. Why wouldn't you do it? Think of your own work situation, would you leave home for $4 million dollars?
