I sure hope they turn the backs loose and take pressure off of Hall, who telegraphs all his throws and needs some help. Run run run.

Look for BYU to have an excellent game Saturday. I am so proud of all these 4 have accomplished. An incredible brotherhood. Few in life have the opportunity to experience together what these 4 have. I have great respect for them. Their success couldn't happen to better men.

Austin, what the heck? I'm a Cougar fan and one of your fans... why would you leave early for the NFL? The NFL is a stumbling block to the saints, both fans and players, and there is no need to forgo your consensus All-American 'all eyes on you' (just the way you like it) final NCAA year to take your giant leap toward Babylon.

Your commitment to this program Austin was 4 years. Don't sell out on your team, your fans, your teammates, the program, the boosters, the community, the students... step up and tell the media to get out of your face and that you'll be back on schedule. Should it even be a question?

Interesting to note that you dominate on the field in MWC play but your teammates have not elected you a captain. The best NCAA receiver in 2008? Not quite. 2009 is up to you. Make your school proud.

Harvey Unga - it was not his fault for the fumble it was just that the coaching staff made a bonehead mistake to hand the ball to him at few seconds of the half. I sure bet the coach already made that clear.
Max Hall - just hand the ball to those Backs and later he can unlease those balls that will eliminate to Interception.
Dennis Pita - Good to see you back and have fun
Austin Collie - Be patient and your time will be ready after your senior year.
Michael Reed - I know you were not part of Fantasic 4 on this paper today. You are part of it and you will have a Fantasic final day with Cougar uniform.
Go Cougars!!!!

I couldn't agree more with Woody. Please please please, RUN RUN RUN the ball. When have we ever had a powerful O-line AND two solid power running backs. Smash the wildcats.

Fantastic Bore

Give me a break! When it came to quality opponents the Y was terrible and the fantastic bore was all too common. Arizona is a terrible team, so if the Y doesn't mop them up then again it shows that the quality of athletes the Y has compiled aren't what they'd like to claim. Oh, and Mendenhall, he needs to swallow a bucket of anti-pride, wasn't that the stumbling block for an entire nation?

George

Fantastic Four ?????
There are eleven on the field at once.
Without this great offensive line, Max would be toast.
Also, the defense deserves a little credit.
Not to mention coaches and staff.
Cheerleaders are cute too.

re: Alpine Way Cougar

Austin, just like anybody else, has the right to make career decisions that are in his own best interest.

As a Cougar fan, I'd love to see Collie back next season, but, if he decides to forgo his Senior year for millions in the NFL, I wish him a long and successful NFL career and thanks for the memories.

"4th and 18" will live forever in BYU football lore.

Good luck in Vegas, Austin! We'll be there.

hey booster,
collie needs to take the money if its there. People go to college to get jobs and make money, he is about to get a job he loves to do and make a ton of money.

Still bitter

Even in their Sugar Bowl year, some Utah fans are still bitter about what Collie did to them last season.

How sweet it would be to have the "Fantastic Four" back to pummel Utah next season in LES.

Regardless of what Austin decides, we'll always have 4th and 18 to remember him.

Ernest T. Bass

I just know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are just awesome.

Y Mania ... Reality

Austin is a huge successful WR. He has a big mouth but can always back it up plus some. The problem is his team can't always walk the walk. Austin ... please dont say anything. It gets fans and opposing teams riled up and it is not good for the program. Remember there is no "I" in team. This article is a joke. If not for the O-line, not one of these pretty boys would be doing a thing. Give credit where it is due. Why dont you do an article on the play of the line. That is the reason we have won as much as we have.

re: Y Mania

O-lines are used to being anonymous, in fact, when they're doing their job, they relish the anonymity.

The O-line is like the guy in pairs figure skating; he's there to do all the heavy lifting to show off the girl.

Same goes for the O-line, they do the heavy lifting to show off the skill position players. If the O-line is doing a great job, the fans will be wowed by the yards churned out by the running backs or the great catches made by the receivers.

In other words, "Fantastic Four" implies fantastic O-line.

Great athletes

Collie is awesome! I'll never forget his catch against CSU (ok and 4th and 18 too). At CSU the db was hanging onto his left arm, Collie catches the pass with his right, the defender face plants and Collie run into the endzone. His left hand never touched the ball. It was awesome!

Collie do some more magic in Las Vegas! Go Cougs!

kcc

Vai is the better back! At least he will put his head down and run over someone, I get sick and tired of watching Unga try to pussy foot around to make two yards when all he has to do is "put his head down" and flat run over people. For crying out loud, he's got the size to just bust people up if he'd just do it!

Collie's "big mouth"

He sure better have a big mouth. How else can someone get that many receiving yards in a year? It sure isn't by being the nice, quiet, reserved guy. Good on you Collie, keep up the tremendous work and we hope to see the Hall-to-Collie connection continue next year. and maybe even some Collie-to-Pitta if we throw in some trick plays :P

Hall

Collie, Pitta, Unga, Reed and Nixom did what they needed to do all year and especially in the utah game. It has been hall that has been disappointing in the big games. His junior year has been a big disappointment. He seems to press and force passes that are not there. Also the great coaching staff needs to take more pressure off of the quarter back like they did last year and let Unga or Fui run the ball.

I think Bronco has done a great job with recruiting and team management and is a great roll model. I question some of the decision making of his coordinators and I do not see a great X's and O's coach that makes great decisions in the heat of battle. This year in the two biggest games the coaching staff and team have underperformed in my humble opinion.

A good running attack will open up the pass not the other way around. This offensive line has been over hyped by Harmon for two years strait, they should be blowing up holes with this many seniors for Harvey and Fui to get 5 yards a carry.

Go Cougs represent against AZ!

BYU Lives on

It is a complete joke that Austin Collie and Dennis Pitta were not all-americans. For sure collie, the O line does deserve mountians of credit! They were awesome!

Lets give the Y the credit they deserve they are consistently a great competitive team!

Down with Arizona!

5 INT's isn't fantastic!!

Five INT's and one fumble in the biggest game of the year is hardly fantastic for Max Hall. Hall has a lot to prove against Arizona in my opinion.

Alpine Way Cougar 7:10 am "4th and 18" will live forever in BYU football lore."

Still Bitter 7:31am "Regardless of what Austin decides, we'll always have 4th and 18 to remember him."

And "The Quest for Perfection" will live forever in BYU football lore as well! It will not be forgotten.

BYU can fondly remember last minute miracles in games they were expected to win by a wide margin. As for me, I'll take a blow out over BYU any day, it's more embarrassing.
