I think it was Bates and Toolson who did something similar in the Utah State basketball game at the beginning of the second half. They took five minutes or more interviewing the new Utah State football coach as the basketball game progressed in the background. Things were happening all over the court in a close game and there was absolutely no commentary except for the interview. I found it very annoying. It was on BYU-TV and I thought it was very unprofessional.
Rich I fekt your pain, too. It was ridiculous they way they tltally ignored the game. And was the same in the Weber game, they interviewed McBride for about 5 minutes. Save it for halftime guys.
Yes that was annoying, but that was not Bates and Toolson. That was the Utah/Utah St. homer Steve Brown and somebody else that is equally forgettable.
I love sports on the radio, especially baseball. One day people will rediscover the joy of listening to a sporting event on the radio.
The Orange Bowl is a joke.
