Not good news, are we going to get any of that this season? Who starts for Brewer? Almond, Korver, Price? Will they move CJ down to the 2 and have AK start at the 3?

Sacramento Jazz Fan

Can someone get Boozer back on the court? How can a guy that big be that soft? This is starting to remind me of his dreaded hamstring issues a few years ago.

BoOoO

Well it could be worse. Jerry will most likely start Almond is the place of brewer and still have korver/AK come of the bench. I don't see that as being so bad. I really think Almond has been improving and I like how active he is on the defensive end. We should be seeing Boozer back as well.

LWH

I won't be surprised if Charmin is out another month.

With all the talk on Boozer bailing at the end of the season (you could argue he has started to bail already), is there any possibility of getting someone like Bosch to replace him? Isn't Bosch a free agent at the end of the year? He'll have a much better chance of success here than in Toronto, and his taxes won't be as high.

Of course, Boozer isn't helping his stock for a big contract next year when he's sitting out injured for long stretches of his contract. But, there are enough idiot GMs out there that will overlook that and bid him up.

Cant believe we pay...

..these guys to boob all of the time with their injuries.

Prediction...we will be lucky to have a .500 season.

let's trade boozer now. if the guy is going to leave at the end of the season we might as well get something for him. get a solid PF in return or a shot blocking big man. let millsap have all his mins. millsap can replace boozer eventually. d will is more valualbe than booz

MADRYBEG

All the fuss about Boozer and this article is primarily about a death in a family. C'mon! There are other articles to bash Boozer (and I do!). Take care of your family Brewer. We look forward to your return. God Bless!

Loozer Boozer

He is at it again. He stated last week he would be back by tuesday of this week. Then the next day says it will be either thursday or saturday. Now he has no idea when he will be back! I bet if the allstar game was around the corner he would be back out there as quick as possible. I sy get rid of him and let Millsap have his time, at least he plays defense and doesn't boob for weeks over an injury. Millsap has proven his worth, and made Boozer look adequate at best. Milsap has a solid game and at least hustles and is not afraid to take the ball right at a big man. I say trade boozer and let the team gel just the way it is.

Jimmy says Boozer the loozer ask the Cleveland
Cav organization. The team he double crossed. This
guy is all about the money, women, and material
things. He gets his paycheck and he does not care.
That is my observation and opinion. Sign Mr. Millsap
bulk him up a little and we will be fine. Oh wait
get us a new coach also

Hey dont bash on sloan he is an amazing coach. Who would you get to replace him who is just as basketball smart and really cares about the sport. If he has been in basketball this long he obviously cares. Why would we need a new coach?

Utah Mentality

This is supposed to be an article about a death in a players family not a space to air out a bunch of losers 2-bit sentiments about someone else. KNOCK IT OFF PLEASE YOU LOSERS.

jimmyz

Did you just bash Jerry Sloan?

Shat

It's an article, Brewer is not logging into his PC to see what we wrote about the death in his family. The article is about two players being out against a good team. Are you thinking that the blog areas are for expressing sentiment to a person who will never know it exists?

Let just say for fun Jazz management listens to all you idiots and they trade Boozer for another power forward - so they don't loose Boozer for nothing. First, who would that player be?

Anyone...

There is not anyone better than Boozer that the other team would trade - when Boozer will become a free agent next summer. Toronto is not trading Bosh for someone who'll opt out this summer. Phoenix is not trading Stoudamire when Boozer can opt out at the end of the summer.

For the sake of argument, we will imagine the Jazz do trade Boozer for someone-who has 3 years left on his contract, and who salaries matches Boozer - So next year the Jazz have 71 million guaranteed contracts (assuming Okur and Korver do not opt out). Now another team offers Millsap 7 million a year to play and the Jazz wants to match the offer, but they will not go over the luxury cap. To sign Millsap the Jazz would have to pay 7 million to him and 7 million to the luxury tax and they would lose 4 million for not being under the tax

Additionally, the Jazz will have zero back-up pointguards

Boozers Day Off

D will is out there playing hard. He's still hurt - last game he looked terrible, but he's out there and he's trying. WHAT is it with boozer. I love Boozer's offensive game. I think he's one of the most talented offensive power forwards to play the game. A hang nail would keep him out five games. Let Him go - live or die with Millsap, at least he has heart.

not like I know much, but....

I sprained the quadraceps tendon playing basketball a few years ago. It's a dangerous injury because the quad muscle is so large that it can easily tear a sprained tendon. Most of you boozer-bashers have opinions; not many of them are informed, however. It's funny how so many of you know so much more than the professionals.

Re: Anonymous

Thank you for saying something well-thought-out. Congrats, you're the first person on this page to do that today. If anyone hasn't noticed, the Jazz don't score as much, or (GULP) when as much when Booz is out... You all need to learn patience. You're the same people that were saying the Jazz were crazy for resigning CJ. l

Sorry About the Loss

Most every comment in this sections was stressed about a player missing and about Boozer. Someone died and all we can worry about is if Boozer has heart?

Brewer, take your time and come back when you are ready.

Shaky

The Jazz were really shaky in the 4th Q against Portland. We really missed Boozer. Millsap may have been tired but he really faded and played poorly in the 4th Q. The whole team looked like it lacked the ability to put Portland away. However, it is a good win.

I suspect that AK and Harp are still hurt. AK has not played as well as he did before he missed games. DWill ran the team well but his shooting was poor.

Boozer's rebounding was really missed.
