Jazz guru

Way to find a way to win boys. Down 9 with 6 minutes left that was an important win. Portland lost also so tonight was an extra good night. The Jazz have got to play better defense and have got to take better care of the ball. At 14-9 with all injuries and all things considered this was a good win. If we beat Portland Thursday, we will move up another game in the division. Kudos to Korver and Memo, way to step up and hit the big shots boys! Ronnie played great and D Will despite a poor shooting game is a warrior out there, we all know he is not 100%. Welcome back Booz! We love ya!

typo

Come on T Buck, doesn't anyone proof-read your work before it goes to print? Al Harrington plays on the Knicks. It was Al Jefferson. Come on Des News, let's raise the bar a little

John Wicks

See what happens when Korver takes the 3 and not C.J. Jerry, I love ya but C.J. is not a starter in the NBA. At best maybe 11th or 12th option.

CJ

CJ has had some great nights. Different people have hot nights depending on the match ups and Sloan has been doing a decent job of coaching and going with whoever is playing well in the 4th.

He is winning so I am not complaining. CJ will need another year to develop. CJ would be playing big minutes for OK. Right now the Jazz have depth and only need him for the right match ups.

I am not a big CJ fan but he is coming along. Korver played well tonight and that is why we have him and CJ. There are times when we play 4 forwards.

Re: John Wicks

I agree with what you said about C.J. being the 11th or 12th option. While he does have some bright moments, I just don't feel he is the best option for the Jazz at shooting guard or small forward. Once the team gets healthy (assuming that happens!) I would hate to see Korver, Harpring, and even Brewer losing minutes because C.J. is getting them instead.

Great win last night Jazz! And great clutch shots by Kyle and Memo!

Miles

John Wicks you are a funny man. Korver finally makes a basket or two and he is now the NBA's best player. I didn't know it that is was CJ's position on this team to carry it on his back. He act like he is suppose to play like Kobe every night. Sloan gave him a whole 16 minutes. Give CJ 38 minutes and he would feel up the stat sheet. I couldn't even work up a sweat in 16 minutes. But I am all for playing Korver more so we can get a lottery pick.

RE:Miles

LOL, while you would have CJ "feeling" up the stat sheet (just the scandal we need started this year) I'd much rather have him on the bench and the other Jazz stars "filling" up the stat sheet.

Keith Suds.....

Sloan demnds respect! He will be remembered as one of the greatest sports stories of all time! Congratulations Jerry Sloan, Phil Johnson, Larry H, Frank and Scotty Layden and the UTAH JAZZ!

miles...the original

cj is a youngster with talent but no focus.he` not starter material now..maybe in the future, stat`s are ok...but winning is "numero uno" time to give morris a chance, better shooter, and from what I`ve seen lately works harder on d

Congrats Buckley

For being printed on the front page of ESPN.com! Nice to see local work in a national spotlight.

Road

Just a short term observation but the Jazz tend to struggle on the road because DWill tends to struggle on the road. That may not be because of DWill. Others may not be in the right positions at the right time. In other words something in the offense does not run right on the road. That forces DWill to take shots and make moves that are not optimal.

We see the same thing with Price both on and off of the road (most of the time). Not knocking Price. He has been very helpful in a back up role. Last night the team ran better under Knight. I hope both Boozer and DWill actually get to full strength soon.

We need the win over Portland very badly.

Re: Miles

I've always wanted to feel up a stat sheet. That sounds WAY better than filling up a stat sheet.

Fact

That was as bad as it can get I believe. No intensity, effort,or desire to play your best ball again. Play down to the level of your opponent. That had to have been one of the most uninteresting games I've watched in years. TERRIBLE. And the only reason we won was because Love couldnt't make a free throw, otherwise it was another loss for sure. So I wouldn't talk too much about this one.

y'all make me gag with

your "great shot in the clutch, Korver" comments. If the guy could play, the Jazz wouldn't need to be bailed out late because he'd hit a respectable percentage of his earlier shots and his defense would be effective. He's a nice guy, and is an asset to the community, but when it comes to hoops, I'll take CJ any more.

RB

@ Miles C.J. has been playing great lately. Last night he was having trouble getting through Minnesota's screens, (Gomes, Smith) The t wolves are very physical and it gave C.J. a little trouble, kept him off the boards too. He still shot 66% from the floor, 50% from the 3 pt. line and had a blocked shot. He has a lot of good basketball in him and will be fun to watch for a long time. We will have some fun in the future on these posts.

I like Korver, and his contributions to the team, but in my opinion C. J. brings alot more to the court and is a better all around player. When he gets to be Korvers age he will really show these people. He's doing it now for the ones that can see good.

CJ is going out there and doing his best. Anybody who thinks that he doesn't deserve to start, needs to get off the drugs.

Miles

Right back at ya guys. I thought I would give you something to write about since your other comments are a waste of time. So while CJ feels up the stat sheet, you all keep cheering on Korver because he will bring home the trophy to Utah. Sometimes I wonder if there is any basketball IQ on this site outside of Magnus.

The "A"

Hey Miles, as long as you're checking everyone else's grammer why not check your own. Plural words have an 'S' on them.
As far as filling up the stat sheet Miles will when he gets better. He needs more minutes and will get them if he gets better.
As far as basketball IQ you are at the top of the list. (Idiot Qualified).

They are all the same

In my opinion Miles, Korver, and Almond are all pretty much the same as far as actual production. They all have their nights when they can score, and can't score. They are all way too soft on defense and they are all prone to foul and turn the ball over. I think the best solution is to just go with who is having an on night and let the other two ride the bench for that game.

morons

Miles is a way better athlete than Korver, and is lighting it up from three point land. Korver killed us against phoenix, as he turns it over constantly and is usually good about putting the other team on the free throw line. I would much rather have Miles in an the end of the game then Demi's little boy toy.
