Piute slaughters Green River and you still rank them behind Green River... This is looking more and more like the Salt Lake Tribune!

Interesting Ranking, Piute just beat Green River last night by 18 points at Green River.

Yeah Piute beat GR last night, I was at the game and it was a lot closer than the score indicated. The score was tied midway through the 2nd quarter. I know that GR had 3-4 girls who were sick, and I am not giving them any excuses. Piute is an excellent team and will only get better as will Green River.
I learned one that the word "Preseason" meant before the season. That is when the rankings were done, not last night.
Some people just don't get it.

I don't know about the sick Green River girls, but Piute had just traveled 2 and a half hours to play on the home court of the number 3 ranked team in the state. The game was tied at 20 with a few minutes left in the 2nd quarter. But by the end of the first half Piute led 30 to 20 and never looked back. It was not a close game.

I was at the game too. The game wasn't even close. The score was close in the middle of the 2nd when the refs. decided to make it a game. Piute was blowing GR out of the water. After half time they continued to pour it on even with horrible call after horrible call. Plus it looked to me like Piute put in most of their freshmen towards the end and GR still couldn't close the gap. I would have liked to see the score if both teams got the correct calls for the game. Even the GR coaching staff shook their heads at that one.

I think our girls are pretty good down here in the southern part of the state. But Rich has the best team and will probably win it again. They just looked much better than the rest at the 1A preview here at Richfield a couple of weeks ago.

State Champs and well deseved #1 ranking - Rich

Monticello is going to come out first in Region 19. They are having a slow start with a new coach but i have confidence in the buckaroos with winning region 19. They have some talent!! Go Bucks!

Rich is a GREAT team. I am not related to them at all, but they proved that they can hang with any school at the Sky view tournament this weekend. Second only to the State Champs from 4A. Good luck anyone else in 1A.

Well i was at the GR vs Piute game last night too and the Piute coach was very suprised at how well the Pirates played against the T-birds. They thought they were going to have the Pirates beat easily by at least 50..so good job Pirates. Good luck both teams, you both have great talent!

Yes the Rebels did look good in a 4A tournament. They beat 4A Box Elder 55-15. Box Elder would have lost to a lot of the 1A teams in the Richfield preview. Box Elder turned around the next night and beat East. That just tells you how strong 1A ball is. Rich beat Mountain Crest in OT. Great game. They did loose to Skyviews JV. It is not given that they win state. They will need to make adjustments in their game and line-up as Skyview exposed some problems. Skyviews program is very obvious they deserve the number one ranking in all the state. I am convinced the Rebels can make their adjustments but it is not given. Go Rebels

Was that the Monticello coach who posted the "BUCKAROO FAN" comment? It looks to me like Monticello has a lot of work to do if they are going to be competitive.
