When folks are losing their jobs left and right, this is a hard pill to swallow, I hope we remember all this when it comes time to re-elect! The auto execs have got nothing on Utah County politicians. The county SHOULD be reducing taxes, not raising them!

Seems Horiuchi and Carroon were compainging on never having raised taxes. What a coincidence that this comes AFTER an election. They have already raised property valuations while valuations are sinking. Someone needs to turn on the lights in that office.

It's only the beginning of more taxes, it will be subtle through the county assesors office that doesn't fall under the constitutional law that only our legislators can raise taxes. They don't raise taxes they raise the values that inversly raises taxes. A subtle way to by-pass the constitution and taxation without representation. Although Horiuchi and Carron are in Salt Lake County and not Utah County. But they use the same methods of padding the taxes and I'm sure the county assesors office has a red phone to the governors office whenever they feel a financial crunch and want more money.

I thought I would just point out - Horiuchi and "Carron" (also spelled Corroon) represent SALT LAKE COUNTY...and the article is about UTAH county...Someone needs to turn the lights on in your office!
