A mormon has a better chance on the national stage as a democrat.
And I for one love Huntsman's green leaning. Maybe you don't buy into global warming, but better conservation is still a good idea and something worth encouraging and promoting.
FAT CHANCE.
Start now by saying, "NO HUNTSMAN!"
I guess he is a favorite among the tree huggers and the global warming nuts!
I certainly hope he is not in the forefront of the Republican Party. He and Romney both need to find a second career. If either of them run the fiasco of the FLDS church will be thrown at them and rightly so, because if Huntsman can't even solve this problem, how by chance can he solve the highest issues of the land?
We already have a president-elect who has no idea of what the world really is--we don't need another to add to the picture.
From my understanding, Mitt and Jon do not see eye to eye although when did that matter in politics? It would be a losing ticket anyway two Mormons would be a political death sentence. Folks couldn't wrap their brains around one. Remember Jon didn't support Mitt. And what makes you think he'd take a backseat to Romney anyway?
Besides, just because someone is LDS doesn't mean they will be good at a job. I'd pass on JOn HUntsman for any higher political office. Period.
A practical, compassionate way of dealing with the immigration problem. Being a good steward over the planet that God created and trying to address the problems of pollution, about which, incidentally, the Book of Mormon prophecies. During years of surplus (plenty), pay off your debts and save for a rainy day, rather than give massive tax cuts to the wealthiest citizens. Following the rule of law, rather than conducting a Pharasee-like hearing to reject a judicial nominee (See Judge Hilder).
Doesn't spouting bigotry get old?
If you want to comment, add something besides mind-numbing invective or society-diminishing hate.
The purpose of a comments section is to add perspective on the article being discussed, not to spew venom.
He is not a conservative, despite governing Utah. He is little better than a RINO. He is a tool of the education establishment. A pawn of the environmentalists. Eager to be loved by the liberal media. Even eager to enjoy the ego boosting idea of serving in the Obama administration.
My fellow Republicans, we should ahve learned something from the McCain debacle:
TRYING TO WIN BY BEING A "MODERATE" IMITATION OF DEMOCRATS IS A GUARANTEED DEFEAT!
I'm tired of the "lesser of two evils" candidates. I won't vote for Huntsman, or any other squishy moderate Republican in 2012. Let's get a real conservative and WIN!
Do you really think you're going to win a presidential election with your ultra-conservative positions? You have about as much support as Ralph Nader on the far left. Moderate Republicans are the only ones that have a chance in a presidential election. Get used to it. John Mccain didn't lose the election because he wasn't conservative enough. He lost it because everything that possibly could have gone wrong during the Bush administration did. Ronald Reagan couldn't have won an election under those circumstances.
Oh, and Mr. TELL ME WHAT HE'S DONE, you need to learn a few things before attempting to speak publicly. Moderates don't have core values? Would you be alluding the the "American core values," that have managed to polarize our nation to a point nobody has seen before?
I think you may have been brainwashed (not surprisingly) into thinking that certain morals are more important than others. Because someone has differing views does not mean they LACK values, they just happen to be different than yours.
You should never confuse different values with no values. Even hypothetically if a person had no values, having no values would be their value. One can run in circles with this argument.
But who am I to tell an American what they can and can't call another person. I mean, we do in fact live in the greatest nation on earth where one can choose to write libelous material (anonymously!) about a person instead of actually arguing political differences with LOGICAL ARGUMENT!
