So since Millsap is putting up boozer like numbers, let boozer walk or trade him to miami for beasley... booze has no heart come crunch time as he choked to the spurs in the west finals, and lakers last year... he is a reg season wonder and playoff dud.... has he EVER had a clutch game in the playoffs, or hit big pressure free throws to seal a W?? NOPE

goodbye booze... we all know ur gonna be in miami, your hometown next year...

AND please, take a walk Korver... your bad D, turnovers, and awful shooting from 3 is getting to be a tired act.... for the love of god they can get a better 3 specialist then him! oh, and can Jazz mngt please get a big solid defensive guy to matchup w/ the spurs and lakers so they dont do their yearly thing and knock the jazz out?? so sick of the same old pattern w/ the jazz...... sloans system has won him games but im beginning to doubt its good enuff for the finals

This is a real shocker.
Opie Rockwell | 8:02 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Gee! What a surprise. Loozer doesn't think he'll be able to make it again tonight. Poor pookie!

Add me to the list of people who won't shed a tear when Loozer rides off into the sunset next summer to presumably greener pastures in Miami. We all should have known what we were getting when he stiffed the Cavs to sign with the Jazz. Loozer is a tolerably decent player stuffed into the pink tights of a prima donna. As a playoff underachiever, he has even exceeded Karl Malone's lofty standards. I'd rather see Millsap on the floor instead of Loozer. Win or lose, he makes me proud to be Jazzman. Loozer just makes me want to hurl.

Booz! Snooz! Chooz! Looz! Ask the Wayne Embry/Cavs!
Duke Players???? | 8:50 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
No NBA team will ever win an NBA championship with Carlos Boozer as their primary post player.

Question-Why do NBA teams even want players that came from Duke on their team?? Why aren't there any superstars in the NBA that come from Duke? Think of it Elton Brand (ok) Grant Hill (ok) Boozer (ok) Sheldon Williams (???) JJ Reddick (below average)

All these guys are descent offensive players but SOFT SOFT SOFT SOFT maybe Williams is an exception.

If I were a GM I would never draft a Duke player until late first round at the earliest.
Elcapitan | 9:00 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Goodby Boozer. You are too soft for the Jazz. Too soft for any progressive team. No fun to watch you play and that is what the big bucks are paid for. Hope the Jazz management can see what is going on here...wake up guys, we have winners on this team. One man like Boozer can spoil it for everyone. Bench him! He has a replacement, Millsap, who is putting up the numbers and a guy with plenty of heart!
Monty Montana | 9:10 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
The good news is we get to see more of Milsap and less of Boozer. Watching Boozer is like watching paint dry!
Miles | 9:17 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
I stayed up all night hoping Carlos would play. Now I know I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing he is out AGAIN. I am starting to like the idea of a Boozer for Beasley trade.
The Duke | 9:25 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
What about Christian Laetner? He was a franchise player. Danny Ferry?
Eddie | 9:41 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Boozer should come off the bench the rest of the season, then his walking papers.

Now the kicker. Sloan should retire to the corn field. Other coaches like him because his offense is so predictable.

How many times have you seen the first open cutter bypassed? Almost every time.

How many turnovers do we see each game in the paint with players trying to pass the ball with the area crowded with players.

Why is the pick and roll of Stockton/Malone not working? New players or just trying to do the same old thing.

Why, with two minutes left and down 8-10 points is the Jazz still traiding two pointers? Where are the three point shooters?

So with Williams back and when Boozer comes back, it the win loss column going to change? I really doubt it.
Beasley? | 9:46 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Why would you want Beasley. Granted he is a good offensive player, but he will never turn into a great defender. He is a me first type of player who would not progress in Jerry Sloan's system.
Booz is the man. . . | 9:47 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
. . . on his way to Miami.

Goodbye Boozer the LoOZER, this guy is in it for the
money, he could care less he collects his checks,
and then buys expensive cars, clothes, and ect. get
rid of this guy asap
BOZO | 10:57 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
THOSE WHO CAN'T SEE BOZO FOR WHO HE IS NEED TO LAY OFF THE JERRY JUICE
Milsap | 11:19 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
has proven that you can play basketball on both ends of the floor, if Boozer would just find somewhere to rent a heart and take a lesson from Milsap he could be a great player.
booz bro, | 11:41 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
your killin me homie
here's a thought | 11:44 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Trade Boozer and Okur for Dwight Howard. Ha Ha - I know, it could never happen... but I really like the idea!
Sokol | 11:59 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Why is everyone so tough on Boozer? Why should
he stick around, if he is hated so much? He
is a great player. I think Sloan does not have
good defensive schemes...I believe Boozer walks
with trepidation after his earlier injuries..
all idiots | 12:27 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
I love all the people who are fans by bashing the team no matter what. The jazz are an awesome franchise, there are only a couple franchises in the nba as successful as the jazz. If all you want is a championship then every team except one are a total wasted loss every year. I appreciate that year in and year out the jazz are contenders. They'll get in there, this is the best team assembled, once they play with each other a couple years we'll be right where we need to be
John Wicks | 12:37 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
The Jazz better sign Milsap to a long term contract shortly or risk losing him. Use Boozer's salary for next year as he is all but long gone and I can't say he will be missed.
IDJazz | 1:11 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
I can't say that I think that Boozer is worth a bigger contract than he has, but say all you want about his defense but his defense at times looks worse than it is because he always has to play help defense for every guard the Jazz have because not one of them keep there guy in front of them. Its the same reason that puts Milsap in foul trouble every game. And before you put Boozer on the bus out of here you might think of the rebounds he gets besides his scoring for the Jazz. Even Milsap against the SUNS gave up 20 rebounds to Amare. Milsap no doubt has heart and is a hustler but his size will always be an issue against players like Amare.

Who do you all expect to replace Boozers numbers with.
Jimmy Z | 1:42 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
JImmy Says yes..yes yes.. return the midwest
cornfields and lets find some one who can coach
us to a championship
Everyone Please... | 2:37 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Boozer is a great player, and we need him at the top of his game for us to be successful.
With him back in the lineup, and with Milsap's improved play... we'll be tough to beat! Get healthy Jazz so we can compete for a title!!
JAZZ LOOSE AGAIN | 2:44 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Minnesota. . . 96
JAZZ. . . . . 93

It's written in the stars.
magnus | 3:05 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
why all the Boozer hatred today?

I don't understand why Jazz fans always have to have someone to be angry at. Bill Simmons was right, Jazz fans are the Joe Peschi of sports fans.

I hate the Boozer for Beasly idea. Why? Because Beasly is just Boozer 2.0 only we don't know if he would ever be the 20/10 guy that Boozer is.

If the Jazz are going to move Boozer I think there is no question they need to go bigger and more defensive. Pick up a guy like Camby or Kaman or Kendric Perkins or Delembert or Okafor. Obviously some of those guys may warrant a little extra something in return but if you added a realy solid 20-25 minutes/game defensive center then you move Okur into a Pau Gasol PF/C type of position with Millsap, Kosta and AK filling out the rotation.

I may be wrong, but I just feel like if we make a move with Boozer it should address our biggest weakness, interior defense, and if it doesn't then it probably isn't worth making.
LVJazzFan | 3:13 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
I don't know why I am even wasting my time writing on this crack-pipe, however. Any of you wish to explain why you want to get rid of your most effective low-post player? Boozer is wisely biding his time in the early part of the season, making sure he is completely healed versus re-injuring like he has done in the past coming back too soon. And you mental midgets want to crucify him for doing what is best for the team and him. Being ready to play in the playoffs and being your best for the playoffs is all that matters now.

Anybody want to suggest who we are going to use to replace Boozer? Milsap is great, huge heart, but we need some interior presence and we simply have not had it since Boozer got hurt. If Amare, Dwight, or Timmy come available, then let's move Boozer for one of them, but who else is out there that is equal to or better than 'Los.
Miles | 3:14 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
I love you Booz
Team Player | 3:24 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
It's just good basketball to have a serious scoring threat in the low post to open the floor for outside shooters, especially one whose offense is good enough to bring a double team from the opposition. It's even better to have both a starter and a bench player who can do that as well. You may have noticed that Okur seems to play a lot better when Boozer is on the floor making Okur's defender sag off of him to be ready to double Boozer.

Millsap is great, and Boozer is great! I hope somehow we can keep them both on the Jazz along with Williams and Kirilenko. Maybe Okur will have to go to make salary cap space.
Montana | 5:58 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Boozer is a whimp! That's why everyone dislikes him. No heart to win. Watch Milsap bang it up in the paint and you will realize that Boozer will never be a dependable player. He's afraid to get banged around. He's also the most injury prone player right after Tracy McNuggets. Neither will win a championship unless they riding the coat tails of a championship team.
Now Generation | 6:32 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
You young punks that spat off all the time are sickening. Boozer for Beasley doesn't work at all. Have you forgot trade resrictions on salaries or don't you even know that they have them. Go get dressed and go outside and play on your swings young-uns. This now generation that wants everything right now just got what they deserved with this economy now they want to dictate sports management. What a laugh.
Montana | 7:23 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
For all of you who think the Jazz are a contender, forget it! The T Wolves are having their way with them as I type this Blog. The Jazz should be up by 20 and the way they're going will lose by 10. The season is a quarter the way over and the Jazz look as poorly as the Clippers. Its dishearting too watch. Krover cant hit a basket and definitely can not play D. The Wolves are out rebounding them by 6 and have committed half as many turnovers. As much as I dis like Boozer for his wimpyness I cant blame it all on him.
booz | 9:17 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
he is no Karl Malone...he would be playing..Booz is not a stopper on defense..sorry...I was in Ohio last week and they their fans thank me for taking Booz off their hands..no joke, they don't want him back...we don't need him either..play or leave..it should be play and get paid or sit and don't get paid..all pro athletes need a gut check.
SLOAN | 9:20 p.m. Dec. 9, 2008
Why doesn't Sloan end up with Coach of the Year? Well, it's because he coaches to keep the other team in the game. Has no killer instinct! And, everyother team in the league understands that Utah is a good team but will never be a title contender under Sloan.
Time to get a coach who really wants to win a championship instead of just contending.
d-nugs | 3:32 p.m. Dec. 15, 2008
boozer is so overrated. he is a poor man's nene hilario if you ask me. the jazz would be ten times better without this waste of space.
