He is only regretful because he got caught.
You are wrong. If you knew the facts leading up to the arrest in Utah, you would know he set himself up to get caught. I believe he sincerely regrets the damage it has done his family. The news camped outside his house for a week after the arrest. Can you imagine what kind of label that put on his boys? He's sick and has done evil deeds in distributing child porn, but he is not inherently evil.
Pornography can be very addicting, and one that is difficult to overcome without help. I don't know this man, but I know others who have fought hard battles against pornography addiction, taking 2 or 3 steps forward, and then 1 step back, and so on. Maybe this was his way of crying out for help. Tough way to do it, and a high price to pay, but I hope he will be able to overcome it with sufficient help, and a strong desire to change. Good luck!
