Gut it up and play!
what the heck?
No AK, very difficult to win. He is the energizer of this team. He is the stop defender, help defender and all around play-maker for our bench (and sometimes our starters).
Boozer, even when healthy, you do not run full speed and are not able to cut. Just play.
has anyone else ever twisted an ankle, or a knee, or a quad and not walked it off and played on?!!!!!!!!! Boozer may be 6'9" but he wouldn't last five minutes in a chrch ball game because you have to be man enough to play through a sore quad! Deron's gotta be cringing with each step, and he's out there. Enjoy Miami next year, Booz.
I'd be confident w/o Booz but w/o Andrei we're probable in trouble. To win tonight we need 40 points out of CJ and RonnieB.
Jazz fans have got to be the most unresonable fans in the whole NBA. GUT IT UP AND PLAY. Come back early and get hurt worse and ruin your career. GOOD SOLUTION, maybe you all should be the GM. Boozer is the 3rd best PF in the league behind Bosh and Duncan. Get off of it already, I love Millsap but he cannot even tie Boozer's shoe, so enough with the Boozer hatin'. This is a rigorous sport with brutal physical requisites, injuries are a part of the game. Quit your cryin' Jazz fans. Half of you are not even in good enough shape to run up and down the court 1 time let alone endure 82 plus games and practices year in and year out. GO JAZZ!!!
Hey Anonymous how long did Deron sit? That's what I thought. Another prime example of an IGNORANT Jazz fan. Booz aint' going to Miami in case you did not see they chose a PF 2nd overall in the draft. I don't see how a guy like Boozer who puts up 20 and 10 every year gets no love from his own "Jazz fans." He aint Karl Malone nor will he ever be, that is not fair to keep comparing him. Jazz fans are always cryin', making excuses, complainin. If you do not understand basketball just put a lid on it. Jazz rock, we love ya Booz!
Let's compile all the comments I have read from Jazz fans and see how good our franchise would be if we listened to these "expert" fans.
1-Fire Sloan- and replace him with who? How many coaches in the NBA have won a ring? Yep, you can count them on one hand.
2-Get rid of Boozer- Ok and play Millsap? Millsap averages 6 fouls for every 28 minutes. I love Millsap, he is one of my fav. players but he is not Carlos Boozer, and his defense is very average, not much better than Carlos and he is not as good offensively, I love Paul but no he should not replace Carlos.
3-Brin in "Fes"- Sorry, we already had a guy just like Fes named Greg Ostertag. No thank you to that suggestion.
So With Fes and Millsap taking Memo and Booz' minutes and no Jerry Sloan, looks like you tempermental Jazz fans have it all figured out don't ya?
One thing I will give us Jazz fans is that we are the most passionate fans in the league. However, some of the most out of line and ridiculous fans too. If a guy is hurt he is hurt. Anyone ever sprained an ankle? Could you tought it out and run on a swollen ankle? What about getting a knee to the thigh or knee to knee? Ever had that one? You think these guys want to be sitting? Show some support, Boozer is one on the best big men in the game and Andrei and Deron are great also. Just chill and root for your team, not diss your team all the time. Jazz by 10 tonight!
GO JAZZ!
Missing Boozer is a huge problem; missing Ak is a disaster
wow was it that long ago that SOME nba players actually played through any or all injuries. carlos boozer being injured should really come as no surpriase to anyone. utah jazz lured him from cleveland for a acceptable amount in terms of who he actually WAS and position he actually plays. the jazz did this in good faith that he would be durable and have a lasting career with them. last season was the ONLY season he has fully played. jazz have another curtis borchardt to deal with except they got boozer a a free agent and did'nt draft him. i think they should just cut their losses after this season and play someone else a whole lot more.
The Jazz Fans need to chill on the injured. I am in Houston and you should hear the garbage that is said about McGrady etc. Jazz Fans are bad the Rocket Fans are bitter.
I would like to see the Jazz get one more really competent Big to back up both Booz and Memo. Injuries happen and you need insurance.
We do not have enough really good players right now given all of the injuries. There has to be a Big out there who will fit the Jazz system. Someone who does not fit thier current team but who would be much more productive because they are in the Jazz system.
To Genius Jazz Fan
If you are a genius you should be able to do simple math. Millsap does not average 6 fouls every 28 minutes. His defense is not much better than Boozers you say. Boozer is averaging .25 blocks. Millsap is about 1.31. Millsap will dive on the floor after loose balls, leave his feet to block or alter a shot, take a charge and play help defense, these things Boozer does not do or does them so rarely they surprise us. Do your home work genius, before coming on here telling us how smart you are.
I would rather get rid of Boozer now, miss the playoffs, and get a lottery pick than keep Boozer, make the playoffs, and lose in the first round. The object is winning a championship. No team with Carlos Boozer as their primary post player will ever win an NBA championship.
I will take a road win. DWill, Brewer and Okur came thru when the had to. However, in the +/- the bench way out played the starters. Price actually did better at PG for most of the game. Almond, Korver, Koufos and Millsap did well.
As far as canning Boozer, this is the year that the Jazz have the best chance for winning a championship. The Jazz have lots of trade resources if they want to use them. They can add someone to Boozer if they want to. They really need to add a Big. If they are serious they will add a Big by the trade deadline.
Sloan was very flexible in coaching this game. He is doing a great job of coaching with limited resources. He played the hot hands (Almond, Korver, Koufos etc.). Memo had an off shooting night.
Funny how everyone was calling for this guys head a few years back. Now he's the one that gets it done.
