Congrats Aubrey!!! You are a true MVP in every sense of the word. We have had so much fun watching you shine!!! And we're not done either. Keep up the hard work, and good luck with your recovery!
what? | 9:26 a.m. Dec. 2, 2008
The MVP should come from the championship team...that would be the 1st place team not the 2nd. All other classes have the MVP from the 1st place team except for class 2A.....What's the deal?

Good call on the 2A MVP, thanks for having the guts to go against the norm and pick the girl that was the 2A MVP.

Get a clue. Who would you have chosen. Aubrey was the best all around player in 2A this year. Does the MVP in pro leagues always come from the team that wins the championship? NO! MVP is for player that is most valuable for the entire season. Richfield could have won if someone went down with an injury. We saw what happened when Aubrey went down. Before you say it NO I AM NOT FROM SOUTH SEVIER! Nor am I a big fan of South Sevier but I do appreciate and understand what it takes to be a good volleyball player.

Congratulations Aubrey! We are so happy for you and proud of you! You totally deserve the MVP! Don't listen to negative people- Some people just can't help but be negative. You are truly an MVP! We love you!

Anyone who attended the 2A state championship game, witnessed Aubrey dominating ALL of Richfield's team. They couldn't stop her! (until she was out!) She was MVP on and off the court! If you were there, you know exactly what I'm talking about. How about admitting she deserves it, state champ or not! Be gracious winners as well. Congratulations Aubrey!

I've read a TON of comments on here since the 2A State game. I have two questions:

1) HOW DO the DN and Trib pick these teams and HOW is the MVP picked. I think its a fair question since it would clear up a lot of this nonsense.

2) I'm sure Richfield and South Sevier played in the pre- or regular season....what were the scores?
re to I would like to know | 12:55 p.m. Dec. 2, 2008
Richfield beat South Sevier in 4 the first time in region play and in 3 the second time in region play. Richfield also beat South Sevier the week before state at the SVC tournament and as anyone knows it is tough to beat a good team 3 times in a row let alone the 4th which was accomplished at the state tournament.

As for how and who picks the team good question, obviously no one who follows the teams very closely.

Tell us how and WHO picks these teams and the MVP?? It will lend some credibility to you All-State Team.

Or will it?

Congratulations Aubrey! You are a great player. It's been fun watching the Wildcats play the Rams. My girls respect you a great deal. Let's all stay positive!

CORRECTION :re to I would like to know
Not that it matters, however the first time Richfield and South Sevier met was in a pre-season Dixie Tournament. South Sevier won best two out of three. The next time they met was in region play and Richfield won by two in FIVE games. The SVC tourney was also by two in three games. State was the fifth time they met and everyone that was there knows what happened. Congrats to all of the players on all teams. It takes a team for these girls to be recognized and these blogs should remain positive! I'm sure that all of these fine athletes know that without their teammates nothing would be possible. Sports teach life lessons and character. There are a lot of fine young women that participate in high school athletics and they come from fine parents. Again, congrats to both Richfield and South Sevier teams.

Richfield was the better team as far as playing as a team they were impressive that way but Aubrey is the best all a round Player/person in 2A she can take over a game at any time
