Her deposition will become a matter of public record which she can obtain a copy of. That is the only "documentation" she needs to have. Anything more than that is just another bid for more media attention for Flora Jessop. I agree with the attourney's assessment of the situation - I think Flora should try to get a life of her own and not depend on the limelight of the media to make herself feel important.

Mack, the previous interview was just that a voluntary interview. No necessity to have it recorded. Now they are requesting a mandatory deposition, which will be recorded. I can't say that I blame her given how the FLDS use the media and distort information.

I have to side with Betty. This was a smart move on Flora's part.

When it comes to this new deposition, she should be able to ensure that she leaves the room with her own copy of an audio recording. She should be able to have someone present to make the recording, whether it be the reporter or someone else. Since it is a matter of public record, no one should object to the presence of a reporter. But if there is a valid reason, the video can go off and the audio can stay on.

I was taken to court by someone who is a horrible person and the tape of the court proceedings disappeared. I was awarded $35,000, but there was no evidence to prove it, since the tape was probably stolen by the plantiff who obviously was surprised to lose the case since he filed it!

Why is Flora being so reluctant? If everything she has said is true to the best of her knowledge, what does she have to hide?

If I was Flora I would try to keep the tapes hidden in which she prompts Rosita about the details in the Texas situation. She would be implicated in a conspiracy that would not be immune to prosecution as Swinton would be. Swinton may escape prosecution for insanity, but Flora could be found guilty.

The deposition is recorded in one form or fashion for both sides to see and Flora can get her own copy if she so chooses.

It will be entertaining to see the spin Flora puts on words that everyone can read in a public document. If the words are transcribed Flora can always say the tone was threatening and if it is recorded with an audio device there will be threatening gestures to describe.

If the deposition is done with video there could be persons outside the camera field making threatening stares.

Flora will find some spin for the event, of that we can be sure.

Betty: Flora is a publicity hound who exploits a gullible media and she just lies outright. The chldren of the Ranch will suffer for the rest of their lives for what was done to them. Her many lies led to the infamous raid. Betty and Gal50 you have chosen to be part of a hate campaign against the FLDS that has led to te suffering of innocent children.

Flor hasn't even given the interview yet and most of the commenters here are all ready to be judge, jury and executioner. If I were her, I would want the interview taped AND reporters there. And maybe a couple bodyguards, too, for good measure.

Yes I'm sure their parents are hard at work making sure their kids NEVER FORGET how HORRIBLE and TRAUMATIC the experience was and how much they SUFFERED at the hands of all those EVIL outsiders!

It is what happened. It was the EVIL outsiders. Would you want to be saved that way if it was you what would you do if someone decided it wasn't safe for children in your neighborhood and came and took yours away. Would you have to tell them it was Traumatic. No The EVIL outsiders showed them children it was a HORRIBLE and TRAUMATIC experience. Not the parents. Wake up America the war is not against the FLDS. We need to fight for our Freedom. If they can do what they did in Texas, what makes you think we are not next. It doesn't matter who it was it was against the constitutional rights of those people, they should of done it different. I do not justify an wrong done. All I say is Texas should of done different if they thought there was abuse. WAKE UP AMERICA!! You never know who will be next

Anyone can set up a video camera by themselves. It doesn't take a media crew to get a video recording. Bringing in a media crew is not about documentation but publicity.

The predictions of Floras reaction are now in print on this page.

Now we will see if Flora spins as many here have predicted.

One option has been left out. Perhaps Flora won't show up at all. She can file an injunction and draw this out longer.

OK......most of the spin options are out there so now we can sit and wait.
