Obama is the best thing to happen to this country in 8 years. I can't wait for him to take office.
Great pick for National Security Advisor! Semper Fi!
Obama pulled off the classic bait and switch. He baited voters with a promise of change and give us a corrupt, unqualified Washington insider!
As a conservative foreigner I am disappointed by the "change" in Washington. I hoped Obama could have done better and truly shown what the "change" should be about. During the Clinton era Hilary ran her own foreign affairs from the White House. She had HER agenda... Now Obama is giving her HER mandate, as well.
America could have done better!
Obama cannot control her - and she will represent herself - NOT the president, NOT the US, but herself.
Shoving Hilary to the world is NOT the Obama "change" the world deserved.
Sounds like he's putting together a winning team. Let's hope in four years things are getting better and in eight they are great!
Agreed! Good riddance to the worst president ever - Dubbya. The damage he did to America and its people is a shame.
you're so wrong, if this is the best thing to happen in the last eight years, I feel sorry for your life.
What a dissapointment. The Washington "Good Ole Boy" system is alive and well. Different party, but the same stale stupid ideas from the same self serving people that got us in this mess. Hang on everybody, your life is going down the tube and don't expect Washington to care. They'll go through the same worthless motions, but they really don't care.
Apparently Obama has decided to let the Clintons take over his presidency and has decided to become a minor figure in his own administration. It's beginning to look like the Clintons' third term.
Moderates, huh? I'm beginning to wonder who won the election--the Democrats or the Republicans. So far, it looks like the Repulicans.
Oh well, maybe we can take heart. Maybe he won't be quite as bad as we all feared.
This is real simple folks.
Govenor Huckabee won big in Iowa. Coming into South Carolina, the conservative vote was split between Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee. That split enabled John McCain to win SC.
Both Florida and Michigan failed to register on time for the DNC's deadline. Therefore, Democrats who would have voted in those primaries instead voted in open Republican primaries. That's how McCain won Florida and Romney won Michigen. Republicans voted for Huckabee, and Democrats continued to vote for McCain and Romney in open primaries.
Although McCain tried to whooo the base with Palin, his determination to silence her and then run his campaign to the left of Obama angered many conservatives who then refused to vote - period. After his defeat, McCain and Leiberman ran back to Harry Reid.
Bottem line: let's keep Republican Primaries closed to only Republicans.
Who'd have thunk that Obama would have ended up being right of center?
I used to really like Mike Huckabee. That's before he got so nasty against Mitt Romney and used anti-mormon tactics. Of course, his dislike of Romney was based mostly on total jealousy along with a little religious bigotry thrown in.
I'm sure it's hard to deal with having to run against someone who is better looking, richer, smarter and has a "perfect" family. Huckabee behaved in a way that was small and nasty. I lost a lot of respect for him and it's going to take a lot to get it back.
How Obama Won...you prove conservative is to values with double standards as fish are to water.
Remember, Herr Propaganda Mister Limbaugh telling his conservatives followers to march lockstep to the polls to vote in democratic primaries for Clinton? This was "Operation Chaos," to subvert the American electoral process.
"Limbaugh conspiratorially calls the tactic, Operation Chaos.
He began urging his listeners to vote for Clinton in the run-up to the March 4 nominating contests in Texas and Ohio after it was apparent John McCain would easily secure the Republican nomination. Limbaugh explained to fellow conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham on Fox News on March 29, I want our party to win. I want the Democrats to lose. They're in the midst of tearing themselves apart right now. It is fascinating to watch, and it's all going to stop if Hillary loses.
Weeks before the swearing in of Obama, we can see the fruits of Limbaugh's logic. There are his listeners, who have been being duped, are now being duped and will keep on being doped. Life deduced to being one of Limbaugh's fools.
Obama is so speedy with his cabinet appointments it is almost as if he has quite a few "backs to scratch"....hmmmm
The POW camp commander blared, "Today we have a change. A change of underwear!" cheer goes up.
"Inmate A to M will change their underwear with inmates N to Z."
Welcome to the Obama-nation where change is whatever we want it to mean. Same-o-same-o fits his bill. Gullible Obamaites let his vacuous rhetoric be filled in with whatever delusional images they had in their wee bitty minds and said that was what Obama believed in. He's a painted sepulcher.
Reality bites and it will bite Obamaites hard when, two years from now 1) the economy is still in recession and hearing "it's Bush's fault" have wearied even the Bush haters, 2) 125,000 troops are still in Iraq because... they have to be! 3) Another terrorist strike somewhere is causing an upheaval and we're rattling our swords and talking tough about getting them. 4) Bin Laden is still being protected by the Pakis.
Now who to blame...
Amen RockOn. And look at how much the Obama saved American tax payers. No body had to move in or out of Washington. Everyone that got us in this mess is still there and still in control.
Welcome to the United Socialist States of North America.
Sure would like to see a national poll of people that voted for Obama that would like to take their vote back. I'd be one of them. He sure had a lot of favors to repay didn't he.
I'd like to see another national poll showing the "no confidence in his decisions and he hasn't taken office yet." Boy what fun the next 4 very long years have in store for us.
Which is why in 5 years, when my son turns 18 (single Dad), I am emigrating to Costa Rica, even though I spent 23 years in the Navy (Retired E-7)and in 5-1/2 months will retire as a Police Officer. Enough is enough.
will be found in Saxby Chambliss' victory tomorrow. His victory will send a message that conservatives do matter and that the liberal era of Pelosi/Bush/Obama has gotten us NOWHERE!
Thank you, Sarah Palin and Saxby Chambliss. This will be a sweet victory. Ha ha, B. Hussein Obama. Before the end of the night, this Running Ute will catch a case of Bulldog fever!
Obamanation is here. Clinton is now going to be 4th in command. I would be watching my back if I were in front of that woman.
