A city that sprawls across an empty valley...that DOES NOT sound like a place that also needs tons of parks. Get a clue and don't waste money on parks!

I agree. Who needs open space anyway? I prefer lots of shopping malls. I love the concrete jungle and hate nature.

so the game plan is to build another suburban city, with the same population as that of Salt Lake City, but instead of being efficient with the amount of space used by the residence, just smear them across their valley and use parks as the illusion of a healthy setting. So where are major shopping centers (because local shops will never excist in a non-strip mall setting there) and the traffic clogged grand avenues be located. THis is so exciting. How a cookie cutter suburb is born.
