No Excuses!!! They showed up at our house to play and we decided to curl up and watch, hoping dinner would be ready soon.
How can over priced athletes give the fans who are paying through the ceiling for tickets give them such a poor showing? It's time to break up this group of millionaires and start making some trades. This group will not ever win anything.
I commented after the Chicago game that our defense was pathetic, well guess what it was pathetic again. I have said before that if you have the ability to play offense you can also play defense because defense is 75% effort and wanting to win. I just think that we have to many primma-donnas that want offensive stats and want to leave the defense to someone else. This team will go nowhere with this present attitude. Where are the returns for the millions spent? Come on guys, you have been paid now lets produce. Lets see some heart, effort, fortitude, and the willingness to do what is needed to succeed please!
Hold on same old bandwagon Jazz fans. When every body recovers then you say something. Yeah without DWill Jazz can play, no Booz no problem offence but no AK no defense at all. No one wants ( except SAP) dirty work.
I know everyone has talked about how Boozers defense stinks but if you look back at last year and this year so far it is opposing teams Point Guards and Shooting Guards that are killing us. Neither position keeps there guy in front of him forcing the other positions to either collapse to defend and leaving them to commit to the ball or try to cover there own guy.
Right now the Jazzs defensive weaknesses are DWill, Price, CJ, Almond and Brewer. Don't believe me go back and look at the box score of the losses and look who scored the most points on a opposing teams. The shooting Guards and the Point Guards. Only one loss where that did not happen and that was the Wizards.
Jazz have pathetic guard defense bottom line.
AK Hurt his eyelash, He'll be out at leats 3 games. 6 weeks for a sore toenail. Week Link! Collins was hurt in a golfcart last summer.
AK 47 is more like a POP-GUN! Or maybe a BB gun at best. There is no assult weapon here, just insulting to watch him whimper off the floor.
Wow,Everybody is coming down hard on the Jazz.I still believe in them if everybody is healthy. But I agree on one thing DEFENSE. They need to use every game now win or lose who plays or not and focus on defense. They should not be alowed after a win to say anything positive until they can be critical of themselves and point out there mistakes on Defense. It has to be a team focus.
Defense and more defense above all else.Above ego, above stats, above a big payday at the end of the day or season.Win just win.
I swear Jazz fans are some of the best, and worst in the league. The good ones really know and love the game of basketball, and the bad ones are the worst bandwagon jumpers in the league. The bad ones are nothing but sheep repeating the talking points of sports radio.
Andrei is the difference maker for the Jazz. He played through an injury until he just couldn't go anymore. That is more that what Boozer gives. He is also the top PER person in the league, and is having the best season of any Jazz player. If I couldn't only pick one person to be healthy right now on the Jazz it would be AK.
So everyone needs to get off his back and find a new whipping boy to blame their problems on.
Amen man. AK has been phenomenal so far this year. I credit him more than anyone else for holding the team together in D-Will's and Boozer's absences. He provides incredible energy, strong help defense, veteran leadership, and relatively good ball handling and passing skills.
re: John Wicks, I strongly disagree. This is probably the most talented and deep team the Jazz have ever had. When D-Will is at his best, their offensive chemistry is impeccable (defense could be better though). The problem is that the chemistry has been mostly out of whack thus far due to injuries. Any team will experience growing pains when this many people have to step up and try to play new roles all at the same time. The good news is that younger players are getting valuable experience in the process. If the Jazz manage to get relatively healthy again, they will be strong contenders.
Games AK does not play in the second half 0-4 (loses to Washigton, Charlotte, Cleveland and New Jersey)
Games AK does play in the second half 11 - 3 (loses to New York, Chicago, and San Antanio)
He was injured in the first half against Washington and New Jersey, The Jazz were even with them when he was injured, but after he left the game we were blown out.
When AK is in the lineup this season we have outscored the opponent by 117 points. When AK is not in the lineup we have been outscored by 35 points. All I can say is I hope AK gets back soon.
So go and complane about AK if you want, he has been the best player of this season.
thanks
Get Rid of that old grey haired gluy at the helm.
And then the Jazz will ah ccomplish something.

Good observation. Based on the W-L record, AK looks like the most important part of the team.
If you watch the games closely, you will notice that AK always comes in after a defensive lapse by the starters. When he comes in, he brings a huge lift. I have to say that he is the Jazz MVP thus far this season. People that are down on him are idiots.
I hated all the anti-AK comments last year; now that he has been the toughest and biggest difference maker for the Jazz this year, I'm even more annoyed at all of these ridiculous comments. If I were AK, I would also want to be traded to a more open-minded market. I was raised in Utah and grew up watching Stockton and Malone. I will always be a Jazz fan, but I'm sure glad I left the state as a teenager.
Don't Worry...
The vast majority of Jazz fans I think realize how valuable A-K is.He's humbled himself and has worked hard to be the ultimate example of hustle and effort and a supreme team player as well. We need him to succeed more than anybody.D-Will runs the team but A-K gives them energy and spark. Hope he is well soon.
Agree with most of the comments on here-get better soon AK we'll miss ya!
Its good to see that not a lot of people are going down on AK. I actually think that he's the most important player in the Jazz right now. Without him, the chances of competing in the playoffs/championship is zilch.
PROBLEM #2 - Injuries.
PROBLEM #1 - Lack of the WILL TO WIN.
I still enjoy watching our Jazz when the effort is there. Heck, we dunk the ball more these days than ever before. We shoot more 3's and we have a lot of athleticism.
Its fairly easy to predict an NBA championship...
Is there anyone out there who will honestly deny that this year belongs to the Lakers or Celtics??
They have "CHAMPION" in their hearts and in their blood.
THE JAZZ DO NOT HAVE THAT. BOTTOM LINE.
Deron Williams had it...hopefully he'll get it back as he gets back to 100%. I would say Paul Millsap has it...Ronnie Price has it and I would say Matt Harpring has it.
Other than that, EVERY single player on our team is soft and mentally weak.
Booz, CJ, Memo, AK, Brewer, Fes...these guys have talent but lack competitive fire. AK used to have it, but unfortunately he's to frail. To much playing video games...not enough lifting weights.
All of these players have proven at one time or another, that they do not have the key ingredient within them -- THE WILL TO WIN.
You have no clue. How can you put AK in the same sentense with Boozer? Price, who?
Come on, man, if you ain't got nothin to say then don't say nothin'.
