the one exception to this is that drivers who use diesel fuel are still paying more and has not enjoyed as much of a reduction as gasoline which is .70-.80 cents less per gallon than diesel fuel.

If you like surprises, Google "Inflation adjusted gasoline" to see what gasoline prices (adjusted for inflation) were in the years you thought they were so low. This is the pernicious effect of inflation in action. I still remember when gasoline was plus or minus $0.20/gallon, but it turns out to be about $2/gallon in 2008 dollars. It will change your attitude about "the good ol' days."
