While I completely agree that all the sudden you take a back seat as a mother, I think too many mothers now say, well, I have to do everything for everybody else. If you let yourself go completely and give up you are not setting a good example for your children. No, the hair and the clothes and the shoes may not be what they used to be, but they can still be clean and you can be well groomed. Too many mothers have allowed themselves to be lazy and not care for themselves physically or emotionally all in the name of motherhood.
