Good maybe the country if finally seeing the light.
We don't need to buy more junk to make our kids happy. The economy can slow down and we'll still survive.
Have a nice small Christmas and enjoy your time together. Play a game, talk, do something other than isolate yourself with an ipod, video game, etc.
Merry Christmas everyone!
If anyone is wondering JCPennys in the PTC Mall opens at 4:00 am
I will go to a couple of stores early tomorrow, but I will not be spending all that much. Nobody is giving people a break in this economy. Utilities are going up, food prices haven't gone down. So you have to ask, do you give your kids a Christmas or do you pay your bills. It just all stinks!!
My wife and I decided to just forego XMas. We figure that the Government will bail out the merchants along with the banks, insurance companies, oil companies, car companies, their rich buddies, and everything else but we the people.
So we the people will do our part and spend much less. I bet this XMas will be better because the kids will have more quality time together than being isolated with a TV or IPod.
Sorry merchants, the oil companies, utility companies, grocery stores and everything else have already bled us dry. It is your turn now since you cannot get blood from a stone. The bailout should have been from the bottom up, not top down. You will soon see why. Good luck to you. Sorry you may have to join the unemployment line like many of us. I guess thats just life.
Just when did it become a tradition to spend, spend, spend for this holiday? Why have people been brainwashed into thinking that they have to buy gifts for everyone for this paticular holiday? It's just crazy, and people that buy in to that theory are the same. Just stop it, plain and simple. This has been trumped up by retailers for their own greed, and that is what it's turned into. Public ignorance and business GREED. Another complete brainwashing by big business and media. Just look at the advertising dollars spent that the media scoops up. RIDICULOUS. Quit it people your lives won't cease if you keep your money for yourselves and living costs. I hate this holiday.
It's time to get back to CHRISTmas instead of spend, spend, spend!
I'm glad to see it.
All the stores are selling nothing but JUNK this year... Old merchandise, and It stinks! I'm not paying one darn penny for any of their worthless out-dated displayed trash. This needs to end or nobody in my family is getting anything for Christmas, not even the dog!!! What sales, there are none!!!!
My time is worth more than the $4 in savings I would get his year for the one toy that made it to both a black friday advertisment AND my kids Santa Claus list. Retailers know people might not spend so they aren't giving great deals as though we are in a recession. CEO's are trying to squeeze consumers for all they can in hopes that our addictions to consumption will overcome our common sense. Spend cash only if you can!
