i'm glad he is gone.
Why is everything Lagerway says so right? The man hasn't made one comment I haven't agreed with since he started with RSL. Again, spot on re the need for a left-footed winger. Just like he was right as rain when he talked about the need for more meaningful competitive matches, rather than meaningless exhibition games in mid-season. I'm developing a huge man crush.
By the way, it's interesting to note that on the "it would suck to lose" quote, the DesNews has a different version from the Trib. In the Trib's retelling of the quote, Mathis' name is substituted for Rimando. I suspect the Trib quote is the accurate one, since Mathis is Kreis' baby, not Lagerway's. And because Lagerway's comment about "no way to spin" the bad news of Sturgis' departure would lead one to beleive Lagerway wouldn't even try to sell us a story about how hard it would be to lose Mathis.
I do not believe there is such a person on RSL as Nate Sturgis. Some say he is Jason Kreis' imaginary friend. Nice practical joke pulled on the "Sounders". I hear the "Nate Sturgis" pick came with a bonus "snipe" hunting trip to the wasatch mountains.
It is a big blow to RSL. I hope we can recover
Good bye! Good luck in Seattle!
Seattle take the whole RSL team? It'll just be gone in 3 years anyway?
Isn't that what people were saying 4 years ago?
Yes. They were also saying MLS would be gone in 3 years (14 years ago). People over 60 have a difficult time with change.
Sturgis may end up being a good player, but he will never be a great player. They would have rather kept Sturgis, but he was a future project.
i'm suprised you didn't ask about the participation trophies and orange slices. like you have on all your other posts. I guess you're forgetting your weak arguments. That said MLS is here to stay. With how "little" the salaries are I'd say the Jazz are more likely to leave before RSL is.
I guess no one cares about RSL once the season is over. I wish we could get an article a week at least. Oh well
I wouldn't say "no one cares". I think there are a ton of us that care about RSL during the offseason. What has happened since Sturgis was selected? Dema "maybe" drafted. 4 of our young guys to go play a few games in England.
I have faith in DesNews, they have been great.
