I have seen LeCheminant play and she is a fierce competitor who is passionate about the game and loves to win. Don't get in her way if her team is down she can bring them back in a hurry, ala Northridge, game five, down by 5 to help deliver 8 unanswered points. She's a gutsy player with the maturity to not give up. Have heard good things about Munoz, too. There is no question these additions to the Cougar line up will help lift BYU back to conference dominance. We look for great things from the lady cougars in the years to come. Great choices Coach Goulding. YOUR team is shaping up nicely.

I'm not sure that hitting was the problem on this past year's team.

I hope that these players do have great careers though.

I really hope that these two ladies will help the program. I'm still not convinced that Coach Goulding was the best hire. Contrary to popular belief she had a lot of talent on her team. For example she had one of the best athlets I have seen in Kayla Walker and she ended up having one of the worst seasons of her career. While at Pepperdine which has a much tougher conference she hit .261 in 2007. This year she hit .223. Bryn Porter hit .220 last year and this year she hit .135. Rachel Dyer who has been by far one of the most consistent players to pass through the program hit .411 last year and this year dropped to .316. To me it sounds that they need to recruit a better setter, or Coach Goulding needs to develop a better system. Either way I wish the best to the team next year.
