Derek Hough does consider Utah home. He has multiple websites and on all of them he says UT is where he's from and where his family is, even though he moved to London at age 12. He talks very highly of UT and his love of the outdoors and the mountains and all winter sports. He wishes he could get back more often. So you are mistaken in this article.

Its great to have the Mountain so we can see womens basketball and not the mens team!
