"According to the Brigham Young University mission statement, "The
mission of [BYU] is to assist individuals in their quest for perfection and
eternal life."
I have no issues with Bronco reminding his players of that ultimate mission. Although perfection did not come in the form of wins and losses, it was never intended for that, it's been the mission at BYU since the beginning and the quest remains intact for those invested in the overall mission of BYU.
I'll always bleed blue because of the standards expected at BYU. That is what being a BYU fan is all about.

No doubt about it..BYU is overrated. It's hard to accept but the coaching
staff has to take alot of the blame for this one. Bronco, if you want to bring
the program back to the level it was before then start coaching the way it was
coached before (ie. Edwards/Chow) Also, Run the freakin ball!! They didn't
stop it all night and Maxie wasn't up to the task...obviously! Oh, and win
a big game for a change. Congrats Utah on reaching BYU's quest for
perfection.

Max gave the game away plain and simple. Utah's defense gave up more yards
the Byu's. Byu had more yards running than passing, I wish we would have
run the ball the entire 2nd half. Utah you will lose by 30 against a good team.

Like the photo on the right side of the page says...take 2, or 3, or 4, or 5. So
what, unless we get a chance a national title what's it worth besides money
and more money. We were all losers tonight in this BCS fraud. Two undefeated
seasons and no national titles to show for it. If these Ute fans were
intelligent they would be holding signs that read "BCS FRAUD" or
"Being held hostage by BCS." Not BCS Busters! Until we have a playoff
we are all losers except for BCS conferences. Unreal. We are all being cheated
out of the greatest potential playoff system in all of sports.

Let's look at where the Utes fall since you think they are overrated.
Florida has been beaten by an unranked team, and has wins over two ranked
opponents(Georgia and LSU, who will probably no longer be ranked because of
their loss to Mississippi). Alabama has the same two wins, and no losses. USC
has one win against a ranked opponent (Ohio State), and one loss to a ranked
opponent (Oregon State). Penn State has two ranked wins (Ohio State and Oregon
State), and a loss to an unranked team (Iowa). Boise State has one ranked win
(Oregon). Ohio State has one ranked win against (Michigan State), and two
losses to ranked teams. Georgia has a ranked win against LSU (soon to be no
ranked wins), and losses to ranked Florida and Alabama. OK State has a ranked
win against Missouri and two losses to ranked teams. Missouri has no ranked
wins, and two losses to ranked teams. Utah has wins against three ranked teams,
and no losses! Only Texas and Oklahoma has as many ranked wins, and both teams
have a loss to a ranked team. Texas Tech only has two ranked wins, and a ranked
loss! Utah is underrated!!

Sitting in the BYU student section several years ago I was the target of swear
words and tossed garbage. At the end of the game, My 65 year old father had a
large sprite dumped on him from the above walkway, only to have all the
surrounding Y fans laugh. BYU fans who think only Ute fans are distasteful
should wake up.
The most classy fans I've witnessed in an away game are the Michigan Wolverines. The worse fans, in my experience, are the Wyoming Cowboys.

teams on the road and eeked out wins over the Beavers and Horned frogs at home
and Air Force and the Lobos on the road.

Let's face it, in spite of all the interceptions and the fumble, the
dumbest thing Hall did tonight was the personal foul on Krueger. He was
Hall's worst nightmare after that. Max Hall's poor night was a direct
result of losing his cool and firing up some Bad A Ute D-linemen. Hard to throw
good when you took a cheap shot on a guy and now he's in your grill every
play!!!

Going into this week i had absolutely zero respect for Austin Collie. From his
big headed quotes to his pathetic looking tights, i couldn't stand the guy.
But my hat goes off to him tonight. If BYU had more athletes like him than maybe
they wouldnt have gotten embarrassed.
That being said... Grats to the Utes! A years worth of hard work has gotten you to the coveted BCS! You completed your goal to win the MWC title, and you've done us ute fans proud! Go UTES!!! 12-0 BABY!!!

Today was the first BYU-Utah game that I have ever attended after living in Utah
for 45 years. I just wanted to see the event although never having attended
either school. The better team won.
Since I did not have any school affiliation I did not have any attire for either school. The Ute fans sitting around me assumed I was a BYU fan. I was not mistreated in any way but the hostile atmosphere was way over the top. I was appalled at the constant profanity. Ute fans you disrespect your teams accomplishments by your behavior. I have read comments regarding stands around California Prop. 8 as justification for this loss. What an idiotic linkage!
This was a football game where the Utes were better prepared and actually had a better game plan. Leave the derogatory remarks and revel in the opportunity to bust into the BCS scam. Lets hope they win and create controversy on a national basis.

Hey Jared in Cedar, get out of the bubble. Do they ever let you leave the town
or the ward. Do you think BYU is the only one with standards, because you have
the honor code shoved down your throats. Student athletes, and other students
at Utah and other universities make their own choices and don't need to be
a sheep to CTR. You really use a football game to preach your beliefs and
morals. Isnt that sacrealigious in itself.

that's what you get when you allow freedom to be yourself unlike the
totalitarian school in Provo. As we celebrate tonight with the freedom to drink
our bud lights and smoke a joint or two and listen to hardcore rap, I hope you
console yourselves with warm sprite, popcorn and a clean Jimmy Stewart movie.

Brian Johnson was 30-36. That's better around 83% accurate. Awesome
numbers! Compare that to Hall's 21-41, which is around 50%, and his 5
interceptions! I don't think Johnson is wishing he had Collie. He's
good, but not as good with the Ute defense, and Utah has plenty of great targets
to use.

I agree, passing didn't make all the sense in the world since Utah had
Hall's number. That said, they can't use the run when they're
behind by a couple TDs.

I disagree that Max lacks big game mentality. Utah's defense just
outclassed him! Max was able to lead BYU in a last minute win over Utah last
year. He had a few last minute wins this year. He just couldn't handle
TCU's defense, and he couldn't handle Utah's defense.
