Having had two sons play for these coaches, my hat if off to them for creating an environment of success. It starts in the off season where expectations are laid and then reinforced through summer camps and preseaon practice. I no longer have kids playing there, but I still love to follow the game, because of my respect for the coaches and their program. Having expectation, tradition, and the environment to support them goes a long way. Their system of offense and defense is second to none, but it all starts with a winning tradition. Thank you Coach V and Wong and your great staff.
hats off to timpview...i was cheering for c-wood. but you could tell that although the teams were evenly matched, one team was mentally ready to be crowned champs-for the 3rd time in a row! unbelievable!! great job to timpview, xavier sua-filo, levi te'o and rumsey were among some of the stars of the game i expect that all 3 of them along with a host of c-wood players will represent utah football very well on the next level.....ok, lets start scheduling a timpview vs alta game next year at a neutral site, rio tinto perhaps??!
You have a great team, and winning three in a row is a great accomplishment. Perhaps now you should consider moving to 5A with Cottonwood next year. I don't believe there are many challenges left for you at the 4A level.
Great to see my high school win three straight. They have really build up a great tradition and the coaches, athletes, students, and community should be proud.
What's a tree-peat!
What an absolutely GREAT football game yesterday. Both teams were very evenly matched and in the end CW just didn't make as many plays. It made the Alta/Bingham game seem like a complete bore! I just wish that people who post comments on these boards would understand that they are talking about 15-18yr old high school kids who work their tails off to get to a game like that. Stop trying to put a negative spin on things everytime their is an article about a kid or a great game. Its ridiculous and un-called for. What amazing talented athletes we all got to witness out there and give Timpview credit for pulling off the win.. Again GREAT GAME!
4A MVP or MR. FOOTBALL HAS TO AND I REPEAT HAS TO GO TO:
XAVIER SUAFILO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately Mr. Suafilo, you don't get a vote.
Well, whether that's X's Dad or not, HE'S RIGHT!!!
X is an amazing football player, a great kid, and very deserving of consideration for the award.
And, I am NOT X's dad. My son's a receiver on the STATE CHAMPION T'BIRDS!!
You're right. What a great game! What an outstanding effort by both teams. CW is a great team.
I'm so glad that TV won their championship by having to defeat a great team like CW in a great game. It makes the victory mean more to the kids than a blowout like last year (no offense to PV intended).
Hats off to CW for a great season and a great game.
Hats off to TV for an amazing run.
It is too bad that they are moving Cottonwood up to 5A next year. They won't have a chance. They really do not have enough students to make them a 5A school. They would have had another chance at a title staying in the 4A bracket.
What a great game! Congratulations Timpview. Two strong teams played a very exciting game. Hopefully the Utah/BYU game will be half as exciting.
Will represent 4A well in 5A next year.. yeah their team won't be as good, seeing they are losing a lot of great seniors.. I also think Timpview will beat Bingham in a dog fight. congrats to the TBirds, they made it happen when it counted.
I don't know what his name is but the #60 lineman for Timpview is a man child. He pushed kids around like they were toddlers. I think Timpview was probably the best team in the state this year, coming from a 5A fan.
#60 limeman for timpview is Xavier Su'a-filo
good job X! u really do deserve to be the MVP for this year as well as isi sofele great running back!
good job on both teams!
go t-birds!!
Justin Ence (Pineview quarterback) clearly deserves to be Mr. Football he is a work horse at quarterback. Nobody compares to his athleticism he is a stud. he runs over people like a freight train. Timpview has nobody as tough as him he is the toughest kid i have every played against. He deserves to be named Mr.football!!! Way too be #6 keep it up at the next level!!!
True, J. Ence is a good athlete.
But to say that TV has nobody like him is silly.
But, to each their own. He must have trucked you during a play or two.
GOOD FOR YOU!!!
GO TIMP
