16 is still underage!
Anonymous | 7:11 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008
nosugrof, you are not in reality. your little flds fantasy, along with all your fun little conspiracy theories, is just unraveling right before your eyes.

of course, you're probably posting from the ranch. . .
mesaman | 9:29 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008
nosugrof seems to be privy to more inside information than he is telling us. I worked closely with the "twin cities" for nearly ten years, and I am confident that the DNA sample will produce compelling evidence of the allegations being made.

the allegations FLDS have made against CPS you mean? Yes - the FLDS have been proven to be telling the truth about their abuse at the hands of "Child Protectors". CPS have also proven themselves to be liars over and over.
Joey | 10:47 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008
Yes, 3 underage pregnant/married girls wasn't enough for CPS. They knew they wouldn't get the public behind them with that low number. So they came up with 32. All over the world, the headlines flashed, 32 out of 51 teenage girls pregnant. Well, we all know that was a bald faced lie. 16 is the age of consent to marry with parental permission in Texas. They didn't know the details about these girls' situations, so they assumed the worst; and now CPS is left with three offended, hostile young women, who just want to be left alone. Nice going CPS, as always.
Get real | 10:48 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008
Are any of you 'insiders' or privy to the facts? Get a grip on life. There's more going on than this that deserves our attention. Besides, proving the age of the girls from 'the ranch' will be difficult since they don't have birth certificates issued by a state, they're handwritten or provided by the church, which brings questions of validity.
boloney | 11:46 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008
every one of the girls provided legal birth certificates - state issued- and they were rejected by CPS as "fake". CPS would not even get with the state officials in Utah to verify them because they knew they were authentic. It was only some of the very young children-toddlers and infants who had no legal ID.
Lionheart | 11:50 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008
All the nonsense of this rediculous cult will be overcome and they will have to move into a more enlightened life for their poor abused children.
Thank the Lord!
Lambheart | 4:28 a.m. Nov. 22, 2008
lol Lionheart...

I'm thanking the Lord that the truth about CPS is coming out!

They are guilty of abusing children and their innocent parents, and not just the FLDS families.

I am thankful that there is a final judgement for all those who have maliciously hurt the innocent children of the FLDS and others in this country. For those children who have died at the hands of CPS it is too late, but there will still be a judgement day and those who have broken these children and parents' hearts will be held accountable for doing so.

One or two people in a community who are abusers do not make the whole community "abusive."

I'm sure, that somewhere, in your extended family is someone that doesn't walk the straight and narrow...that doesn't make your whole family evil.

Use your head (and your spell checker).

:) God bless you and give you wisdom Lionheart.

Miss not a single child | 4:50 a.m. Nov. 22, 2008
This is the state not wanting to miss a single possibility in their vicious attack on this church. Every child must submit. Every marriage must be investigated. As get real said, isnt there more going on in the world that deserves our attention?

zxcvbnm | 7:31 a.m. Nov. 22, 2008

In all likelyhood the girl is the 17 year old pregnant female that was reported pregnant in June just before the release of children.

Looks like the issue for CPS is the fathers identity..........nothing more.....nothing less.

Do the math and we can all get back to argueing about the 16 year old age of consent before FLDS came to town..........pre Hildebrand anti FLDS laws.
Easily Amused | 11:30 a.m. Nov. 22, 2008
Nope, different girl.

This girl did not turn 17 until August.

Besides that, the consent to marry laws have nothing to do with it. It's the sexual assault statutues and the age to consent to sexual contact that matter.

CPS has known the identity of the girl's "husband" since those first days at YFZ.

Forget math. Try reading.
zxcvbnm | 12:39 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008

ok amused....... 17 in August......pregnant at 16.

16 was the age of consent pre flds and the legality of the change of consent laws will in all likelyhood be challenged.

What is the point of DNA testing if the state knows the "Actors".

Then there is the turkey baster defense....... ahhhhh such entertainment. Just in time for Thanksgiving.

Gal50 | 2:33 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008
Looks like statutory rape charges will continue to be filed for the next couple of months. Hopefully, there will be no more rape occurrences after that.

It is very interesting that obedience is taught on the ranch but that these FLDS members are among the least obedient when it comes to cooperating with the court system.

One could guess that the identity of the father is known, but not yet proven. The DNA test is probably to prove the identity of the father.

By the way Willie Jessop asked everyone to give the FLDS more credit than they were. He said the FLDS men would turn themselves in and that there didn't need to be a manhunt. I'm wondering where are the last bunch of men?
nosugrof | 5:59 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008
annonousmous 7:!! 11/21/2008 I have never been anywhere near the ranch. I live in Oklahoma. I just recognize injustice when I see it.
nosugrof | 6:02 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008
Gal 50 the state has done nothing to earn their truat
Joey | 6:45 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008
Turn themselves in on a couple common law bigamy charges? So Texas can throw them in a federally funded prison for the next 100 years? I think they might just rather take their chances in Mexico. I certainly would.
zxcvbnm | 9:23 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008

Joey......odds are high that one of the two guys is Merril.....the 74 year old second in command of YFZ. Mexico looks pretty good for the old guy.

The bigamy charges may be relatively minor and may even be thrown out as unconstitutional but the sex with a child stuff gets the guys 99 years.

I am suprised that more of the guys didn't skedaddle...
Just another point....the warrants are sealed......noone is told the names of the guys till they are brought in and even the FLDS may not know where they are even if they knew the names.

I wonder if the guys that are known will use the turkey baster defense.........the girls certainly won't turn them in and DNA proves there was a child.......how it got there is a mystery....wink wink
Feeling sad for the women of FLD | 8:51 a.m. Nov. 24, 2008
I really hope that justice will prevail and stop this abuse of women and children by the culture of FLDS. A culture where women are less than men and their bodies are owned bartered like chattle to the greedy men of the FLDS. I find it outragious that it happens in this day and age and IT MUST STOP! And I truly believe, that it will. God is watching over his children. Amen.
FLDS pedophilia | 8:56 a.m. Nov. 24, 2008
A pedophile needs to sexually abuse children like they need air, so of course the FLDS men will adamantly defend themselves and their addiction to the bitter end. But it won't help. They days of the FLDS are drawing to a close and rightous wind is at the backs of the women and children to lift them up and sweep them away from the perpetrators.
realitycheck | 10:14 a.m. Nov. 24, 2008
I want to see the parents be prosecuted for child endangerment, for handing over their daughters to pedophiles. Now THAT's when the fun begins...
Andrea | 1:16 p.m. Nov. 24, 2008
Merril was indited for conducting unlawful marriages involving underage girls. I hope that he is brought to justice, his daughter is suffering because he handed her over to Jeffs. I hope that the women and children will be able to recover from the abuse.
zxcvbnm | 9:06 a.m. Nov. 28, 2008

You are so right Andrea.......Merrils daughter is suffering.

The poor girl has been seperated from her family to protect her from a man behind several feet of concrete.

The girl is suffering at the hands of the State of Texas.
