Well, I have to admit to being a fan of the books. My wife was reading them and so I picked one up and couldn't put it down. Stephenie Meyer is a great storyteller--she weaves a compelling tale.

My niece invited us to accompany her and her friends to the premiere. I'm pretty sure I was the oldest guy there among 1900 ticket holders at Tinseltown. In our theater of 400 seats there were only 15 guys total. The movie had some departures from the book, but all in all it was a fun experience, with more than enough suspense and action to keep the 15 of us entertained.

When the feature actually started (after 25 minutes of annoying trailers) the tween-age girls were screaming so loud one of the guys had "shush" them at the top of his lungs so we could hear the dialogue.

I give it a strong recommendation (yes, even to the guys!). Go and enjoy!

I've just got to say I found Kristen Stewart way more appealing and watchable when she was frozen stiff, banging down the stairs.

I love the books! I know that you cant really compare the two movie vs book.. But the movie screamed low budget. I also felt like the book is all about a forbidden love that is so intense none of the characters are sure how to handle it. However in the movie it is way cheesey and very young. Almost immature like. (sigh) I think I will stick to the books instead. My suggestion, if you have not read the books and are not a die hard Twilight fan dont go and see the movie!!!

I have to agree with 'Hmmmm'. It had low budget woven through out the movie. But, given the low amount of money used to create the movie and the short amount of time in which they could shoot the movie, it was alright. I hope the next movie will have a much larger budget and someone that really knows how to write a screenplay.

We loved it and had so much fun going today! My girls and I love the books and can't get enough! The movie was better than we expected it to be. I wish they had found a good looking Edward. What is with his hair! Also they were always intense and unhappy. They needed to have a little happiness, Some smiles!
