OK according to you guys I am not the brightest person on here. But who is the person in charge of stretching, strength and conditioning for the Jazz? Fire him. Remember when the Yankees kept having pitchers go down like boys at a rap concert? They fired their strength and conditioning coach immediately. This early in the season we should be at full strength. If our boys were in top condition, with an injury, they would come back quicker. Time to make some changes and that does not mean fire Sloan. Get rid of the Strength and conditioning coach...NOW

Miles, you are right for once. I don't mind boozer being out as much as AK. Yes, hes is a double-double guy, but when he has been out with injuries, Okur has always stepped up (really kept up as he becomes more of a go-to guy with Boozer out) when Boozer sits. He was our leading scorer and rebounder then and did a great job. If he gets rolling, Jazz have a great bench to fill in where needed.

BoOoO

I completely agree that there are a lot of injuries that apply to what your saying. As far as the Jazz go, I'm not positive, but it doesn't appear that any of the injuries are due to bad stretching. It's just bad luck.
Knights Hamstring injury possibly could, we will have to see how long hes out. Boozer just landed awkwardly, after bumping into another player causing it. Deron landing on Roses foot and spraining an ankle didn't have anything to do with it. The other injuries like wrist and elbow I'd have to say the same thing. But like I said I don't know. Might not be a bad idea.

Shoes?

I wonder if the shoes are the problem. With our team and a lot of others, there seem to be a lot of ankle/leg injuries. Makes me think they are using shoes based on style rather than support.

I wear a lot of boots and as soon as I wear tennis shoes I twist my ankle it seems!

Blame Nike!

I tend to agree with BoOoO. Although I don't know a whole lot about sports medicine, I don't think that the injuries sustained could have been prevented with better strength and conditioning. I'm not necessarily defending the strength and conditioning guy either, because I don't know if he's good or not. It may be a reasonable course of action.

Jazz will win

Boozer is more of a liability than asset. Yes he scores a double double but so does the three guys he "defends" in the game. This should give you Jazz fans confidence to operate without him like you will do after this season and beyond.

Miles

The better conditioned an athlete, the faster his body bounces back from an injury that was caused by "bad luck". But Boozer, Memo and Knight's are not "bad luck" injuries. Their injuries are muscle related and could have been prevented. I don't like going backwards but Malone and Stockton played forever and didn't have "bad luck" injuries often or at all because of their conditioning methods. The stronger the muscles around an area the less seceptible to injury such as a knee, back or ankle. Also they didn't have muscle related injuries due to stretching and weight lifting/conditioning.

Knight's isn't a hammy

Injuries happen. It's a very physical game. Booze landed awkwardly when he was pushed. Brevin's is a groin injury. Darren's ankle can't be blamed on anyone and Korver's is a writ injury.
Mark my words, we are going to miss Booze tonight. He is not a liability.

#1 jazz fan

deron is lucky he didnt break his ankle with how far it bent. and boozer you can clearly see that he hyper extended his knee. Who are you supposed JAZZ FANS. and Korver a sprained wrist on his shooting hand. hes a shooter so abviously its going to make shooting tough for him. we are 8 and 4 so far with many more injuries than any other team RELAX Deron will be back soon and booz wont be out long.

Not trying to pick on your or anything Miles, because I do agree with some of what your saying. But it really doesn't matter how strong the muscles are around the knee and ankle. If you land wrong(hence D-will) and twist your knee or ankle you will hurt it regardless. Thats why there are so many ACL injuries. Thats just part of the risk and are impossible to prevent entirely. Yes, strengthening the muscle around it doesn't hurt, but even if you have the strongest legs in the world. It won't prevent it if you land wrong. As far as the back goes your right. But Okurs "injury" occured because of being on a plane for 30 hours.

Boozer is a loozer...here we go again, should be a net gain for the Jazz. Hopefully the injury will be season ending and we will make it to the playoffs with ease.
