Rather than vent in generalities why not give us some specifics about whom you refer when saying "...surrounding himself with people that were despised by the American people...". "Fresh" does not equate with "untested" which is much of what the former Vice Presidential candidate of the Republican ticket offered. While I agree that the established "old DC" network is something to be avoided wouldn't you agree that a cabinet full of unproven, out of touch and unskilled political "wannabe's" would be disastrous especially in the face of the crises such as those we are now facing not to mention when dealing with foreign countries?
Our President-elect has the freshness of which you spoke but is tempering his staff with people knowledgable in the realities of our political system and world government interfaces. Why is such a broad-based approach being decried? I guess the old adage is true: "You can't please all the people all the time" and unfortunately in your case, and people like you, you will never be pleased.

President-elect Obama isn't a fool and isn't going to select his entire cabinet from people who have no experience in Washington even though he will make such selections if they are warranted.
This is a damned if he does and damned if he doesn't proposition. If he chooses people with no Washington experience he will be criticized for only selecting novices and if he only selects people with inside the beltway experience he will be criticized because he didn't choose people who didn't come from outside of the beltway.
Obama as far as we can see is making the selections based on who he thinks will be in the best interest of the country. Holder has professional experience at Justice and has even served as Acting Attorney General before Bush replaced him with John Ashcroft. This isn't a position that you pick someone who does not have experience and Obama realizes it nor would anyone without extensive experience be confirmed by the Senate.

Well, Citizen... considering that Bill's approval rating was 66% when he
left office (which I believe was the highest approval rating of any President in
the last month of office), I'd say that we could certainly stand a few more
years of Clinton policies.

You either are not old enough to remember or have a short memory and do not read if you do not know about the inferences said by BH. The specifics are in the article itself and clearly refer to the nearly 200 pardons that Clinton passed out like candy to convicts who paid for his campaign. Read the article. The people who elected this guy do not truly understand the risk to national security that will come with someone whose family is in and from another country. He is NOT a BLACK man as his wife swears but his mother his white and this should anger mother everywhere. This does not make him "fresh.....exciting" as you may wish him to be but yet another who practices political spin to his advantage. I don't think McCain was necessarily the answer either but believe that Sarah Palin has more real political experience than the 3 years in state congress and 3 years in U.S. congress that Obama has. Clinton rode in on the shoulders of giants when reaping the benefits of
Reaganomics and what George Bush gave him; a good economy which has NEVER come
overnight. The economy George W has had to work with is the result of Clinton
focusing more on women than his calling. He let so many people get away with
things they never should have even dreamt of, it caused the hollow and
collapseable IPO shatter abruptly which it did under the wake of the terrorist
attacks that could have been prevented by said president who caught up with UBL
in a Saudi hospital but instead of killing him, they apparently tried to
negotiate with him to not attack any more (perhaps until a Republican gets
elected) to keep his approval ratings up. By the way...it is well documented
that polls dictated the Clinton's every move. If any president did that,
their approval ratings would always be up as well. A parent is not always
popular and instead of doing what the country needed as well as wanted, they
always did what the country wanted. We are seeing children that are the product
of this kind of hippy drug user thinking. Insanity!

I can't believe how much the word "hate" is used on these blogs
day by day. I'm becoming more and more convinced that most bloggers need
serious psychiatric counseling to help deal wth their vicious inner child. Many
people write things on these blogs that they would NEVER say to anyone in
person. Is this the way you get your frustrations out--spewing your emotional
problems all over the internet? Does anyone know how to say anything nice
anymore?
I am a committed, conservative Republican with many years of experience as a politcal professional in Washington, D.C. I DID NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA!
More importantly, I am a patriotic American who loves my country. When the election is over, we all come together, support our new president, wish him the best and do everything we can to help him succeed. That's the American Way. Let's not be bad winners or losers--EITHER ONE.
If he doesn't do a good job, we can hire someone else in four years. But, for now, we need to put aside this mean-spirited nastiness and do everything we can to help our country and our new president succeed.

This is the first time I have visited this site. I am LDS and have lived in
areas where Most of the time I was growing up I went to Branches and traveled
hours to attend stake conferences. I cannot believe most of these people who
are making these comments go to church, take the sacrament and commit to be as
Christlike as they can the next week. I am a dem. who votes for a person and
their policy's not a blank ticket. I had hoped better of this site. I
live in Ca and supported the ban on Gay marriage. You folks act worse than
those who disagree with me here in my state.

Yeah, maybe our guy won, and maybe he lost, but we are all Americans who need to work, hope, and pray for a positive change in our country's political climate. Tearing down and insulting simply leads to more of the same. It never builds up and improves relationships or political situations. It is really a matter of maturity.
I only hope there are enough adults left in this world who care enough to make sure that the generations to come will make a positive difference by being mature and responsible doers, not whiners and complainers.
My guy lost, now my president is the other guy. I'm worried, but I will do what I can to make the best of it. Perhaps that is what we can do to assure that there is not a Clinton relapse.

his new, most ethical whitehouse. And then, he askes Rahm (the snake) Emmanuel
to be his Chief of staff...and Rahm has extensive ties to Lobbyists and poised
to dole-out favors, as is Obama's new Transition Coordinator, Tony Podesta,
whose brother John runs one of the largest Democratic Lobby firms in the nation.

I grew up loving America. I still love America. I was a small town mayor once
and here is the first lesson I learned; opinions are not right or wrong they are
opinions. Great political leaders are often hated for no clear purpose. Abraham
Lincoln had to have been one of America's greatest leaders yet he was
assasinated. I am so tired of the denigration of George W. Bush. two years
before this election he had the highest ratings ever by the "polls"
but the way to win elections in American in our new America is by slandering the
"past"....My 77 year old mother said it best "give the man a
chance". I didn't vote for Obama. I don't like his commitment to
redistributing "wealth" but he is President. Let's give him a
chance. Let's accept each other's difference; stop maligning each
other and just try to be a good AMerican ourselves...be the standard you want in

Good thing I stashed all my Cash in a Mattress, Well if its really going to get
that much worse then there are going to be some amazing buys coming from
everywhere. I hope most are not Leveraged as this will be the buying
opportunity of a Lifetime that can make you a fortune when things do start to
come back up. I also think that Palin is Dumber than a Bix of Rocks, Doorknob
