It breaks my heart when I read or hear about our young man and women missionaries being hurt or worse on their missions. This world of ours is so filled with hate and evil that none of us really ever know when it will be our time to experience what their precious young men have gone through. Elder Young is with the Lord now and his companion, I hope, has been able to recover mentally, physically and spiritually. What a tragedy..I have so much love and respect for missionaries that leave the comforts of their homes and families to serve the Lord. That takees a lot of love, faith and courage to answer the call to serve. Our prayers are with the elder who survived and the families and friends of both. There will be a reward for your faithfulness and obedience.
How tragic that a dispute over money should cause an angry man to vent his anger on the innocent.
The commandment says "Thou shalt not kill," but the Saviour told his saints not even to be angry, for anger and other passions lead to murder.
The missionary that died is safe in the arms of the Lord, and the surviving missionary remains in our prayers, that he will be granted peace and strength to continue in his faithfulness.
I remember this day I was a very good friend of Morgan and I was also serving my mission at that time. I miss him. and I hope the best for his family.
He has an alibi. Yea, Right. They always have an alibi. Even though they found the weapon and it is tied to him.
As a proud parent of a missionary Daughter, I worry about her everyday, but know that she is in the hands of our Lord. What ever happens she is in the serves of our God.
