In the summer of 1965, Steve Hale was the featured writer at a high school program for journalists at BYU. He was a great teacher. We had designs on his talent, and asked him to help write a column about our search for a bell for the bell tower at Brigham Young High School. He wrote a wonderful column, and we have considered him family since that time. His BYH column has been featured on our BYH website for several years. On behalf of BYH alumni, we express our sympathy to Steve Hale's family.
