Utah in washington how exciting hope they do something good rather then sit on there chair and play tick tack toe all day.
And who is his new Chief of Staff? Is he/she from Utah?
Good luck, the frosh year for Reps is always a bit brutal. I'm not sure how people can think that anyone would run for office seeking the glorious high life.
Represent us well!
just another utah chickenhawk..more dangerous because he will be in congress..afraid to serve in the military, but not afraid to send us that do serve off to die senselessly..according to his website he supports reduced government oversight of everything..just the sort of attitude which caused our financial woes..
Jason we are behind you - go to and work hard. If you are ever confused about an issue - just ask us, your constituents, and we will help you find the truth (unlike your predecessor who forgot who sent him to DC).
It is time to take our country back - let the conservative revolution begin!
Don't take any leases longer than two years, and try to live down that "socialist" crack you made after the election.
Conservative revolution? I think you're all on the merry-go-round going the wrong direction. UNLESS you're for true conservatism, which would start by NOT interfering in people's private lives and relationships.
Jason..I voted for you in the primary due to your positions on all the issues...and wish you the best. Good luck and don't let washington change you as you represent the true and blue conservative republican wing..the restoration begins with one congressman at a time.
His name is Justin Harding. There is an article in today's news about it. He is from Utah, born and raised there, but has worked in DC the last 8+ years. Currently works for Rep. Bishop. Looks like a good pick.
Please, Jason, do the right thing. Don't play partisan politics, don't paint with a broad brush, and please, give us term limits!
Remember, Jason, when you get confused on an issue (as you probably will; keep a dictionary handy), just ask your constituents and listen to the polls.
It got you this far!
Boy, there are some nasty people on here. I have no doubt that none of them have ANY experience in Washington. I HAVE!!!
Go Jason. Go back there and kick some butt. Don't listen to these detractors who go on the attack, but who don't know anything whatsoever about what goes on back there.
Just listen to your constituents and your conscience....and get ready for the big Republican come back in 2010.
Good Luck!
What were you people thinking electing this guy to the 3rd district? Thank God he isnt my representative. I'm sure the Dems will keep Jason in his place. The Governor had the good sense to dump this guy. Oh wait...he resigned. That's right! How could I forget.
Great, he's more like a kid on Christmas morning talking about what freebies he's getting instead of focusing on the real issues effecting Utahns. Just like he was as the Guv's Chief-of-Staff - he's watching out for numero uno.

Wow, Shawn, still licking your wounds, eh? Time to move on ... to your next losing campaign. ;-)
Is it common for legislators to sleep in their offices each and every day they are in Washington? I like the cost saving attitude, but Jason, really, separate work from your private life.
Jason's comments are very childlike and excited. I am more worried now than before he was elected of how as our representative he has an effect on how the world and the rest of the nation will look at Utah. Please don't embarrass Utah Jason.
It is my genuine hope that Jason and the Utah Congressional Delegation will abandon Conservative Extremism, and embrace a moderate agenda that will truely serve the people of Utah and Country as a whole.
Jason is dreaming about committee assignments. As a hard line conservative he'll be lucky to get an assignment as junior member of the Washington D.C. sewer commission.
The Dems are in charge and based on what Huntsman and his fellow governors are saying, the Republicans are leaving the conservatives behind.
Chaffetz is a brand new dinosaur.
I am wondering when the media will look into why Jason Chaffetz was fired from NuSkin and the Governor's office. I am sure that everyone that has either worked for or with Chaffetz is hoping that he doesn't do what he has done at his last two jobs - especially with taxpayer money! Hopefully, Chaffetz won't embaress Utah like Rep. Tim Mahoney (R-FL) embarassed his District. However, if Chaffetz' record is any indication, I am worried he will.
I wish Jason all the best!!
