BYU football: Fired-up Cougars power past Air Force, 38-24

It's the channel I watched my Utes beat a team that slaughtered your Team Down South.
I'll be watching this Air Force game. They can't pass, which means you'll probably win. But if they could, man oh man you'd be done. Just like the Utes will do to you next week.
Go Utes
Nevertheless, I am still rooting for the Cougars to win....I could care less about rankings....they are a serious joke. Take a look at what has happened to all the #1's, #2's, etc....when they lose one game, they drop precipitously in the polls. It would make just as much sense to rank every team who defeats a #1 to become #1 with the victory. Whoever the pollsters are making up these polls are just acting in a convoluted manner.
I am seriously rooting for BYU/win/out/the/remainder/of/the/season.
as I read your blog, I thought to myself --wow, a Cougar fan with some logical sense.
Then, you lost it with this "...I am seriously rooting for BYU/win/out/the/remainder/of/the/season"
I guess what they say is true --Cougar fans and logics don't go together.
'Till next year...Poinsettia Bowl is all you can wish for.
Re: "I'm tired of consistently going to BCS bowls and sharing the money with BYU..."
I would hardly call making it to 1 ("1",one, uno...) BCS game 4 years ago a pattern of consistency. You haven't even made it there this year; if you make it, you would have made it 2 out of 5 chances. Still not something I would deem as being consistent. I guess that is understandable that you make such erroneous claims, given that you are a Ute fan!
Does anybody know what time the Jazz play the Lakers tonight?
LOL
Sigh. I suppose it's my own fault for caring.
1 school 1 1 0 1.00 1 Utah (1-0)
Hey look there are ALL of the teams in the MWC to ever make the BCS. For some reason I can't find byU's name in there anywhere. Compared to *NEVER* once or twice is infinately better.
1 in 4 years, maybe one in 5 years if BYU beats Utah next weekend. That is 25%, or 20%, depending on which way things go. If your kid came home with a 25% on their test score, would you be bragging about it? How about if you only got paid 25% of your wages that you earned. Would you be bragging? No matter how you look at it, 25% is NOT consistent. Spin it how you like, but a dog is a dog, no matter how you look at it.
BYU is STRUGGLING with AIR FORCE! Their defense is so weak.
We know one of BYU's "so-called" BCS opponents will get a win today for sure. UCLA is playing Washington today --battle of the losers in Pac-10.
Looks close to me... Go Cougs!
34-21 over Cal.
OSU is still in control for a Rose Bowl bid.
That would help Utah's BCS case tremendously after next week win over BYU.
If so, consider a coaching career - start with Junior Jazz...
If Utah wins, great job Utes. When they lose, in the last minute, and Collie makes the difference, your silence will be deafening. And oh so welcome!
Even if BYU were to upset Utah (yes I did say upset...well, at least it would make me upset), BYU would not be in a BCS bowl. Rest assured, all of the power-6 conferences will be cheering for the cougars. They don't want any non-BCS team taking away one of the BCS $lots.
Bottom line: Either BYU beats Utah, ends up 11-1 and playing in the Poinsettia Bowl. Or they lose to Utah, end up 10-2 and play in the poinsettia bowl.
Oh, and by the way, don't get too filled up on crow this weekend. Save room in your tummies in case BYU beats Utah next week. Tee, hee!
Have some faith in the team.
