It should have read, "SDSU will win if the University of Utah's plane crashes on the way down." And since it didn't, then the article should ahve ended after the AFA article. SDSU has all ready layed down for the year.
I guess it would be crazy to say that a loss is impossible, but it's about as close as they come.
Utah 56-10
The most effective way to stop the option attack is to do the following:
1. Keep the middle plugged--just enough. All teams have enough defensive personnel to do this without jeopardizing other defensive assignments.
2. Get penetration on all sides of the line, which effectively stops the sideways option attacks. Just "waiting to see" where the option is going gives them positive yardage every time. You need to stop them for losses a lot! BYU's done this in the past, but for some weird reason not all the time. Strange.
3. Keep someone ON the QB--don't let him beat you (BYU's had trouble with this on several occasions this year).
4. Treat every option play as a possible passing play--get to that QB! (BYU's not done that with any consistency all year.)
Iffy game for BYU today. Can't afford offensive lags.
