Your column is what we all wish for. Thanks for a lovely column. Do be aware that for some such a goal is impossible to achieve and for that reason the holidays are painful times to get through.

For those who are not able to achieve family togetherness this year, the idea of community can be comforting. It's important to reach out to those in our midst, whether blood relations or simply in the same situation or location. Thanksgiving is a time for unity of heart, wherever we may find ourselves.
