I appreciate you acknowledging David's album, even though I can sense some of your bias against him.
I agree that David's new CD will has a number of really catchy and moving songs. As an over 40 fan, I was simply blown away this year after hearing David perform on that show...you know what is it called?? On yean, American Idol. This CD is the start of a great career for the most exciting new artists to come along in decades...
Where is the bias? I think the writer wrote a balanced review. All reviews are subjective, but in this case, he took issues and backed them up with examples. I went back to the archives and noticed that Mr. Iwasaki has never said anything mean about David Archuleta. The CD review was a critique. He gave contructive criticism and no mean-spirited jabs.
David also co-wrote A Little Too Not Over You in the standard tracks, and has some more cowrites in the deluxe bonus tracks, plus the bonus track Falling, a haunting ballad that David wrote himself at age 14.
And David hasn't always been polite and vanilla. Have you ever listened to the stuff David sang on Star Search at age 11/12 (he won Junior Vocalist). If anything, I think the some songs on the album didn't give David enough room to show his soulful side. Watch some recordings of David on Idol and listen to the screams when he goes soulful. We love that.
My daughter & I ABSOLUTELY LOVE David Archuleta's CD and just can't get enough of it. Every song is our favorite!! We felt so blessed to attend David's CD signing at Virgin Records in NYC (actually waited 8 hrs. for wristbands out in the cold) and it was so worth it just to have the opportunity to tell David in person how happy we are for him! His beautiful music and being the genuine, wonderful person that he is, David brings so much joy to all of our lives!!
I love his album! he did and amazing job on all the songs! i reaaally hope he has a tour at some point!!!!
