I live in England, being American, and a graduate of BYU, but also having attended the U. I am amazed at the emotion that is shown by many commenters. Football is a game, folks, a game. It builds character and discipline. But, at the end of the day, it is still a game. I think we expose a lot about ourselves by the comments we make. Why not wish both teams well? Why wish that people or teams get hurt? Enjoy the GAME! Utah is doing a great job this year. Fantastic. BYU and TCU are doing well also. Let's watch and listen and expect some great competition, but, let's be realistic, humane and supportive.

worked over like weddle got worked by harline? or maybe like collie worked your golden boy mcain? Utah has only scored, some 14 touchdowns on offense ALL year! that alone makes me have no fear come nov. 22.

Unless BYU comes to the their last two games with more emotion and intensity, look for them to lose at least one of these last two. You know Utah will be up for the match. I stopped watching a few weeks ago since I felt I was more intense about the game than the players and live 8 time zones away.

I don't mean the kind of emotion that creates stupid penalties, I'm talking about killer instinct and focus on execution. The kind that doesn't make a DB play with 10 yards of cushion on the receivers.

... about your personal opinion... you are not saying "Go Utes!" or "GO AF!"... I am tired of people writing purely negative crap about BYU, if you cannot praise your own team or even say like many Newts here, that you want your team to beat BYU, them go some other place to sulk...

I understand fans that want their team to win and those who want a good match up for their team... Many Coug fans cheered for the Utes to beat TCU so that they would have a chance at a championship, but they weren't saying they wanted TCU to lose just because they want somebody to lose...

Get a life and try to find something positive to say about someone... What's wrong? Did a mormon take your job or your high school sweetheart? GROW UP!

Unstoppable offense huh. BYU seems to have TCU amnesia. Must be from the side effects of being hit too many times in the head when they were being wiped up and down the field. This same TCU that UTAH was able to put down. UTah's defense had a brain fart the whole first quarter adjustments were made and TCU was shut down. Something BYU never was able to do. As I remember the unstoppable offense only put 7 on the board while the defense couldn't slow them down. We will see what happens when BYU faces another great defense.

All this bragging and chest thumping is what gets BYU in trouble. I predict that both Utah and Air Force will overpower BYU and that BYU will take third place in the MWC. Utah has dominated the MWC of late and it will happen again, I fear. If only BYU would show a bit of humility instead of having these bragging fits in the newspaper.

I am very anxious for the game this weekend. BYU hasn't played well on the road, and they have yet to beat a team with a winning recored. BYU's highest ranked victory to date is over UNLV (Sagarin #83) and we made it look hard. AFA is ranked by Sagarin at #35. I think we mayh have won our last game of the season last week vs SDSU.

BYU will lose to Utah. No Question. No Doubt. Absolutely. Positively. You can bet on it.

UTES are the superior team. National rankings prove it. Undefeated record proves it....

Next week head-to-head will prove it.

Please - no whining from Cougar fans and players.

"Am. Fork Brady JMB" is fine in hoping AF & Utah beat BYU, but advocating being "worked over" on an individual player is over the line. Sounds mob-like!

No worries, I predict no "working over" any Coug with the Y victorious 31-17 over the Cadets and 28-21 over Utes. BYU's "possibly most over-rated team in America" will win out and go to a BCS bowl game as well as earn a share in the MWC champtionship. The wins will come with the Y defense allowing a lot of yards, but making some big defensive stops that bar big points from being posted.

If the Y-Ute game is close, Sakoda wins it for the Utes so it is critical that the Cougs are up by at least a TD in the final 2 minutes.

Hey November - which team are you watching - "BYU's defense is improving and their offense is unstoppable" - putting up small rushing numbers on San Diego State, Unga hurting a little, Hall zeroing in on receivers and not looking off defenders - seeing UNLV and Colorado State almost punk you, nearly beat you and score over 30 each, making TCU look like Texas Tech on offense. Pull off the blinders, BYU has a good team - not a great one - their passing offense is really all they have that could be considered nationally recognized - everything else is just getting by thanks to the passing offense.

To Am Fork Brady JMB: Maxie will work your Utes over on the 22nd. And BJ will get rattled.

I personally hope that BYU wins. Let's also hope that Am. Fork Brady JMB gets a life and a job.

Even with all the strutting, and the hiding behind TCU's skirt, that's really all Utah has, is a "Hope".

That's what makes it so much fun being a BYU fan. We don't need to "Hope".

Sure, there have been losses, but that thing Utah calls "BYU arrogance", is a confidence that the team will win. I think that come for winning.

So hope all you want. Hope, hope, hope away. Because we have all seen Utah play this year. we all know how mediocre Brian Jonson can be for the whole game (I give him marks for the last two minutes, but against OSU, on the PI flag, his reciever did not miss the ball because of the PI, but because BJ threw a terrible pass.

Really, feel free to wander over to the Utah board, and hope with the other Utes. Hope BYU has a freshman kicker that misses two 30 yard field goals, hope for bad clock management (OSU). Hope away there Utah. BYU fans have confidence in our team.
