You're only hurting yourself if all you can be is a hater. Let it go.
question? | 4:04 p.m. Nov. 12, 2008
byu fans,

is it difficult to become fans of so many teams throughout a season? many times i cant tell whether your loyalties lie with byu tcu or no. iowa. you seem to follow them all quite closely and even have detailed knowlege of the programs and multiple reasons why they are soooo good!

some of you have actually convinced me that no. iowa deserves a shot at a national championship game like you do! my question is, will you have the same love for utah when you lose?

but this article is about Freddie Brown. He's a class act and a great representative of the U. Congrats to him on his accomplishments this season. He's a big reason the Utes are 10-0.

Congratulations to Brown on a great season. Way to go!
Seriously? | 6:23 p.m. Nov. 12, 2008
The biggest idiots on these boards are those who act like the fans of the other team. i.e.: "I know BYU is superior is every aspect, but we need some respect."

Is there any reason why a majority of these are from BYU fans? Pretending to be something you're not......hmmmmm, sounds like the Provo City motto to me. I'll see you in church on sunday and spend the rest of the week gossiping about your neighbors, and trying to recruit to your next big multi-level marketing scam.

At least as Utah fans, we know who and what we are.(siners and heathers, right?) GET A LIFE!

Congratulations to Freddie Brown! He is a class act and it was so fun to watch him shine last Thursday night. I loved the fact that he said the important part of "student-athlete" was STUDENT. Good for him. He sounds like a lifetime winner.

Regarding many of the posts on this article - leave religion out of this discussion. It's a stupid ancillary comment. I'm a University of Utah graduate, a huge Utah fan, a season ticket holder for years [even when living out of state], and a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm proud of the fact that half the members of the current team are members of the LDS Church. Good for them. This has been true many times in the past as well.

Now - Go Utes! Beat San Diego State this weekend and then absolutely demolish BYU next weekend - 50 to nothing would be nice.
Ridiculous Cougar Pretenders | 8:28 p.m. Nov. 12, 2008
Oh, poor BYU fans. The only way many of them can compete in the discussion is to pretend to be Ute fans and then talk about how great BYU is. You must be awfully proud of your school if you pretend to be a fan of a different one.

It's understandable though. I guess I'd probably pretend to be a Utah fan too, if I had to be a BYU fan.

I dont know why people would criticize BYU or UTahs schedule when they played teams like WA, Michigan, UCLA or OR STate. These teams were scheduled long ago and were expected to be top notch teams. It is not BYU or UTah fault these teams are down this year. No one is trying to get by with an easy schedule here. Sometimes scheduling just doesnt work out.

By the way, BYU defense is not "big bowl" worthy. I hope they win out but I have my doubts. Maybe if they could play a team from the East that is not from the SEC or something like Utah did a few years ago. Anyway, we will find out on the 22nd if BYU can get up for a big game. Sadly, we already have proof that they cant unless it is UCLA. That and turnovers will be the deciding factor in the game.
Boise State | 9:41 p.m. Nov. 16, 2008
I love Boise State. They are the National's darling. They are the small school that is doing their part to break apart the BCS coilition. Nobody else has done anything recently, so show some respect.

I've known Freddie since he moved here and some things never change! His attitude, he is the most loving and supporting person anyone could ask for! I love you Freddie and am so happy for all your success. GO UTES!
