Best news of the day. Couldn't come at a better time for the Jazz. Go JAZZ!!!

Lionel said Koofus is in. I'm OK with that. I heard that Collins was hurt while he and his brother Jason were wearing Roller Skates. Williams should not come back too soon. We need him for the playoffs.
Bob Johnson | 11:02 a.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Laren said she's been riding a Harley. We'll see you in the Wachovia center. Korver got us some tickets.

This is exciting. D-Will will provide the leadership this team needs right now on the road, even if he can only play half the minutes he usually does.

Couldn't have come at a better time for the Jazz. Deron's mere presence on the court will give the Jazz a boost. Can't wait until game time. Life off. Game on.
Miles | 11:06 a.m. Nov. 11, 2008
I think this is a huge mistake. Williams shouldn't play until they return home. This is only going to cause the team more grieve down the road. We are short-handed even with Williams and will most likely lose 3 out of 4 with or without him.
Tom Keller | 11:09 a.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Ray and I think Willy should not come back till Christmas!
Whoo hoo | 11:11 a.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Go D-Will glad to have you back! Just go wasy on your ankle
Roger johnson | 11:37 a.m. Nov. 11, 2008
go forth and do me proud, Deron. Return with honor... and a 4 game win streak
Go DWill | 11:48 a.m. Nov. 11, 2008
I'll be watching. Just don't get hurt worse. You are the man! I voted for you for President FYI. Not even kidding. I didn't like either of the candidates so I voted for you. Too bad you're not old enough.

Great news, Deron is the man. Even half a D-Will is better than most everyone else
Need Collins instead | 12:06 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Does anyone know when Jarron Collins will be ready? I think he will have a break-out year.
Erk | 12:22 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
I really hope he isn't rushing back just cause Memo is gone. If he gets hurt again tonight it's going to be a long season.
Tommyk | 12:30 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Okay i can see okur absence because of family illness. But fesenko? regarding your Visa? come on Fes this was your chance you were looking for and Collins needed to be cut long time ago, so we could had a decent backup. and with williams playing I hope he doesn't hurt himself
Koufus | 12:31 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
He will be fine, although we can expect some rookie mistakes this is what the NBA is all about, be ready when your number is called for whatever reason. This is one way that a rookie can break into Sloans lineup, I just hope he plays well.

Great news! Deron Williams is the true face of this franchise right now. Without him playing, it felt like preseason basketball!

Welcome back Deron!!!!
Jazz | 12:54 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Good luck Deron, don't hurt it any worse. Do work tonight Kufos we need you to step it up and tonight is your chance.
rattler | 1:06 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Listen to coach Sloan rave about Koufos' work ethic. I think that is about as positive a remark about any young player that I have ever heard him make. Does that mean coach is getting soft? I think not. I think it means that Koufos is going to be something special.
Also, welcome back Deron Williams!

I think this is good news, but I'm hoping he's not coming back too soon just because Memo is gone.
Finally! | 1:12 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
D-will... I'm so glad you're back. We've missed you!

Please Please Please just don't overdo it!

Finally, the road to the 2009 NBA Championship begins tonight.
IDJazz | 1:55 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
More interesting is who will be backing up Dwill tonight?
clork borton | 2:18 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
7 footers who can walk and chew gum are hard to find. Fess up O'stiffy! Can't you get a man a visa?
Slick williams | 2:28 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Well, I voted for McCain to start at point fir the jazz. FYI.
Jarron Collins............. | 2:32 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
.........Falling down, Falling down, Falling down.............Take the key and lock him up!

We need to replace Okur's outside shooting. Korver, DWill and maybe Koufos will need to pick up the slack. If Koufos can hit somewhat from the outside he can pull his man out and the Jazz will run okay. It would be really nice if CJ and AK had a great outside shooting night.

If DWill can pass, shoot and defend for 20 minutes that will really help. Price is a combo guard and not really a point and the team does not run right with him at point. Further, his shooting percentage is in the 20s after 6 games. Knight is a true point but can be shot over.

Someone has to produce Okur's 15 points. I think Koufos can do okay on the rebounding but will make mistakes on the defense.
dwill | 3:05 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
We all know dwill has as much heart as anybody that's ever put on the jazz uni, if he plays tonight, let's just hope nothing happens to that ankle, and the next time the jazz run into the bulls, d. rose will know that rookies shouldn't be messing around with players who are better than he is-he'll pay for his indolent enthusiasim, and the sixers will pay for thinking they can compete with the mayhem that dwill and co. will be raining on them tonight. hahaha.

I have it on good authority that Fes will be deported to Ukraine unless he completes the R-345B addendum to his original 456 P series application that should have been turned in with the I-0002 form. His agent should have caught this a long time go when the NBA required Forms R, J, and L that are in the Appendix of his rookie subcontract. Anyone who has worked with either E-401 or E-402 cases knows this stuff as well as a G-6 knows the Ruminations Clauses in the standard operating manual of the 747.

CJ Miles & Ronnie Price: tonight might be a good night for you guys to decide you want to make a career out of playing basketball.
re: rattler | 4:42 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
I seem to recall Sloan talking the same way about Paul Milsap during his rookie year.
BigJazzFan | 4:51 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Stop bagging on Fesenko,

He the most athletic 7 footer the jazz have, probably has most potential of any center the jazz have ever had.

The only problem is he is big big child, and it may take a few years for him to grow up.
Re: Insider Baseball | 5:22 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Stop Nerding us to Death!!!
Re: re: rattler | 8:08 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Great point. Hopefully that will mean that Koufus will be just as promising of a player over his first 2 years as Milsap was for his first 2.
FES=trash | 11:13 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
get him out of here...he is definitely not the most athletic center the jazz have...i would put okur and koufos ahead of him...collins might be worse, but collins is much smarter and better with the ball...

therefore putting fesenko at the bottom of the list...

Deron is a STUD!
