This didn't help cure anything. San Diego is the most worthless team in the NCAA.
GoodA55 | 1:31 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Two 13-10 wins in a row for Utah (with two missed TCU field goals, not what I would call impressive!

This article was even more funny than Rock's usual articles. Well written.

With Utah's success, BYU has been forgotten. However, the 22nd will still be a good game and is unpredictable at this point. I think that what BYU lacks in defense, Utah might equally lack in offense. They are each other's yin and yang, and it will come down to if BYU's defense can step up more than Utah's offense that day. With that said, they Utes will pull out a close one.

Not a chance for the yewts. I doubt they can play with how big their heads have gotten add to the fact their offence is not very good.
BYU-MOJO | 8:43 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Their biggest problem is they have lost their MOJO..Even when they win they don't look good.Time to call LaVell. Send him back to the 80's and find BYU's MOJO!!!!.
Re: Bear Laker | 9:20 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Wow, feeling our oats this morning, are we? Let's not forget that SDSU is the worst team in D1. They lost to New Mexico, San Jose State, and Wyoming by similar margins to BYU's margin. But I expected no different from BYU fans.

As far as Utah goes, where's your evidence that heads are big? There's been no talk of an undefeated season even though it's only two games away (contrast that to BYU who's been talking about it since March). There's been no talk of the BYU game even......all the focus is on SDSU next week. That doesn't sound like a big headed team to me.

It's interesting to see that BYU is focused on Utah, though, despite having another game before that one. If I were you I'd worry about Air Force - they can definitely beat BYU (especially since BYU is no good on the road), and I fully expect they will.

Wow. An article on BYU winning big after losing to TCU and then surviving two track meets against relatively weak opposition and three of the four comments to date bring in my Utes.

So to Bear Laker et. al., BYU and Utah have played six common opponents. By next week that will be eight. Against the six common opponents, BYU is an impressive 5-1, but Utah is 6-0. BYU has outscored the six common opponents 193-126, while Utah has outscored them 215-74. BYU has outgained the six, 2454 yards to 2154. Utah has outgained the six, 2340-1654. Slamming Utah's offense is a slam on BYU's offense, because statistically, they are about the same in power.

And yes, a 13-10 victory over a top 12 team is impressive.

Both teams are looking good, but Utah looks better in most categories--particularly the defense. But, the game won't be played on paper or in computers. It will be played on the field and hopefully both BYU and Utah will be up for the game and it will be another great game in a long series of great games.

I love Pitta's comment being part of a "big" win.

A "Big" win over the Tec's is like bragging about beating your 6 year old nephew in "HORSE" on a dunk with a 8' basket.

MY MYOPIC little felines. You never had a problem taking the victories UTAH handed you when Kama, Kama, oh fudge, I forget his name shanked 2 FG's to give you victories.

This article reads like an episode of "MONK". That's right Cuber Fanz. Your MONK with little tiny claws and a Cuber Tail.

Please, 37 yards rushing against who? And, mighty Maxy stayed in the game for how long? Did you say the whole game? Can anybody say, I left my sportsmanship in the frozen dairy products line.

At least Whit will pull the shock trUUps when the
game isn't in doubt anymore, i.e. WSU, USU, CSU, UNLV, WYO.

It appears that in Cuber Town its the stats that count, and holding on to any MYOPIC record you can find. Good thing you didn't play TCU @ home.

Here's looking forward to rivalry week. Keep your chins up. You still have a chance to lose in CS.

That won't matter, its not a home game.

BlueBoy | 9:41 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Wasn't impressed with Utah's win over TCU. Why? Their QB's inability to be consistent a whole game. He looked awful until the end of the game. Hall looked awful against TCU, too, but for a different reason. It's a common theme for Utah's QB.

Also, wasn't impressed with BYU's win over SDSU--just satisfied. Would've been impressed and encouraged if the score had been 59-0.

Now, what BYU can do against Air Force will go a long way towards what they can do against Utah. Has BYU finally forgotten the TCU loss? Is that bad taste finally out of its mouth? We'll see against Air Force.

Hey! The Air Force game is on HD next week!!! (At least, an HD channel. They [DirecTV] sometimes fool you and show lowdef on a hidef channel.)

And, the Utah-BYU game will get HD treatment on the mtn channel. Finally!

On November 22nd, the UTE pasing game will feast on the Awesome BYU secondary. Is this the same secondary that overwhelmed TCU, UNLV and CSU? Lace em up and lets play the game.
IDAHO | 10:13 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Hey! Don't pick on Idaho!

SARAH "FAILIN" is a graduate of The University of Idaho.

I didn't know SDSU had a football team.

What's that you say?

They don't.

GO COUGARS!
Slow Down | 10:45 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Next week is AFA. Hall and Collie can play that game and then we'll worry about the Utes.

No time for being side-tracked by infantile trash talk.

You'd think some people's teams had never won a game before.
Hey Cougs | 11:06 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
I bet you get beat by air force, then utah.
I hope you folks really enjoy the Vegas Bowl, where you will lose to Oregon State and finnish at 9 and 4. :-(
SO much EWE of EWE love.... | 11:28 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
What is with all the EWE love? It's simple. They are 10-0 but have been extremely fortunate to get there. That's not abnormal with undefeated teams, almost all of them find "fortune" or "luck" or "magic" along the way..... The EWE is good, but their offense is completely and totally inconsistent. Anybody excited about the EWE's offense must be dipping into the beverage cabinet a little too often. Same as anybody who is excited about the BYU Defense. Who from BYU has been focused on the EWE? They still have to deal with the cadets. Nov. 22 is going to be another close, tight game. Niether of these teams is overwhelming anybody. The scores may say otherwise, but both teams are very fortunate to have the records they have. BYU could easily have 2 more losses and the EWE could easily have 3 themselves. Both teams are "good", but that's all we know about them at this point. Slight edge to the EWE for the 22nd, but only because they are at home. These teams are basically the same when it's all said and done. Strong on one side of the ball and not so strong on the other
hahaha | 12:36 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Just for fun I'd like to enter an alternate universe and listen to kewg fans if they had the same season going as the Utes. I can see it now "championship caliber teams find ways to win tough games, scores aren't indicative of a team's potential, close wins count the same as blowouts," yadda yadda yadda.
re GoodA55 | 3:19 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
ha, I'll be sure to save your post as reference when kewg fans claim ute fans are obsessed with their team. Ha

RE: Vegas Ute

At least Bronco didn't onsides kick late in the 4th quarter. Let's see now, what Mtn. West coach did that to a team he was leading by 50 points? (I think Joe Glenn remembers so maybe you can check with him) Sorry BYU offended you by trouncing SDSU. I don't blame you for getting nervous.
