Sloan, thanks for the 1,000 memories! Shows strong commitment and dedication, isn't it? We're lucky to have you coach our #1 team in the NBA!

Play hard and the only thing that matters is that you are ahead when the final buzzer sounds.

The test begins in this extended road trip since winning on the road has been the Jazz' on-going challenge. The metal of this team will be success in road games and how long they can do well with Williams on the bench.

Deron, heal well and lead us to the next level!!

Funny how a big lead can cause you to lose interest. At least the team "held on" to get to 5-0 and make Sloan happy (or 1,000th win and make him grumpy). Heh.

I think the bigger story is how long Phil's been in the mix. THAT's got to be some kind of record, too.

thanks to an easy schedule, the jazz are undeafeated and 3 games up in the division. if we can work on turn overs and get deron back maybee we can get through the road trip without problems

There's no room for "easy schedule" talk in the NBA. If you want the link to Boise States football team then let me know.

The crowd started chanted Jerry's name at the end of the game but he didn't flinch. I appreciate his desire not to call attention to himself, but dang it all, it was ONE THOUSAND WINS! Come on Jerry. A short trip to center court and a smile in acknowledgment is hardly an indulgence.

I hope that Jerry finally gets Coach of the Year. If the award is really for doing the most with whatever you have available and winning the right away, Jerry should win it at least once.

If that doesn't get Coach of the Year, then let's start proceedings for his canonization. Saint Jerry has a nice ring to it.
