Tear it up Cwood, we look forward to some good game film next week from your game with Pineview. They will cry for respect from the northern teams. Just make them cry. Hope to get a chance to see you in the finals. It would be nice to have the two undefeated teams in the playoffs, arguably the best offense against the best defense. Hear is to holding serve next week. Good luck!!
Congratulations to a job well done!
Colts you've proved yourself over and over and although you still have two games left, you've had a great season! Thanks goes out to an outstanding coaching staff for all their hard work and persistence with these players! Thank you for a great season! COLTS ALL THE WAY BABY!
Great win C-wood..on to bigger and better things.
The Rams are out, once again we shoot ourselves in the foot.
Pour it on CWood! Beat Timpview, and bring the title back to SLC! If anyone can beat Timpview, CWood can and we know will.
Good luck Colts.
That's right... We may be out... But we are backing you ALL THE WAY Cottonwood! Bring that title back to Salt Lake City. Amen "Ram Nation". Well Said.
To our rams... great year, We love you guys. Let's make next even better!
Cottonwood maybe, possibly, potentially, perhaps could beat TV. Likewise, TV maybe, possibly, potentially, perhaps could beat CWood as well.
That's why the finals will so awesome!!!!
But, before we talk about the finals, here's to the Colts and T'Birds getting it done in the semis.
Best of luck to both teams.
Cottonwood is the only team that can do it.
Hope its a good game!!!!
Laker Fan wanted to know why you did not put his letter online with the other letters. Possibly because there is a little bias going on down there at the paper. Whatever your reason it was a poor one.
Congrats to the Cottonwood Colts for their win over the Bonneville Lakers. You have a great team and execute your plays very well. And what a great facility you have. I was very impressed. But one question: As I gazed over onto the home side of the field, where were your students? If it hadn't been for your band, the cheerleaders, and the student government officers, you wouldn't have had any students in the stands. Your team is playing so well that you don't need your students present to cheer them on? Is it that hard for your students to walk out the back doors of the school, sit down, and cheer? If the parents of the players hadn't been there, your side would have really been bare. The visitor side was filled to standing room only, and the majority were students. Is there that much apathy going on at Cottonwood, or are the students just too cheap to pay the $4.00 to get in the game? What's with that? School spirit at Cottonwood? Good luck with that.
Many of our students were down in Utah county supporting our volleyball team who were in the 4A playoffs. We do have school spirit and on a normal day the stands would have been full. If you look at a picture on Max Preps that shows your side of the stadium, I would hardly call it "standing room only"!!!! It's a tough time of the day for people to attend a game. Cottonwood has a great student body and great fans. Go Colts!!!!
School spirit or not, we waxed you guys...Good luck with that!.
to TV fan @ 2:33 pm
Correction:
Cottonwood has the potential to beat TV.
TV needs to have a bad day and CWood needs to be ON 100% plus.
Doubters: Cottonwood very much has the potential to beat TV. High School football fans will will be very surprised with how well Cwood hangs with them at State! Despite an excellent team with more seniors, it will NOT be a walk in the park for TV. Keep in mind the CWood staff is relatively new together, Coach Thomas has turned the kids around mentally in one year, and they rely heavily on juniors and a few sophmores in addition to their oustanding seniors. This year's finals will be awesome and next year will be down right scary as coach Clausi's and Cate's original sophmores become seniors in this system.
Good job Cottonwood, this next week you will finally have some competition in PV. Lets face it Bonneville was aweful, everyone in region 5 knows that. Go out and beat PV again and on to Timpview, I'll be at that game for sure. Nothing would please me more than to see you end the dynasty.
RE: "Many of our students were down in Utah county supporting our volleyball team who were in the 4A playoffs. It's a tough time of the day for people to attend a game."
So the rest of your school couldn't make it to the game because it's a tough time of the day for people to attend a game? 2:30 is a hard time of the day for Cottonwood students to attend a home game? Hmmm...
Our crowd was pathetic. The ones who try do a good job, but there are too many students who go and sit and don't care.
who cares how many students are in the stands doesnt seem to bother any of the players.
I LOVE IT ! LET'S GET 'ER DONE CWOOD!
"Lets face it Bonneville was aweful, everyone in region 5 knows that".
"Nothing would please me more than to see you end the dynasty." Hey HS Football Fan: nothing would please me more than for you to learn how to spell!
It is spelled a-w-f-u-l, not a-w-e-f-u-l.
