By the way where is Ms. Volleyball? Did the so called best player in the state even get sniff from D-1 schools? Not even here in Utah? Hanneman was ready last year and everyone knew it. Interesting...Hanneman's going D-1! At least the team of reporter and coach will always have Ms. Volleyball! Go Knights!

Curious

Can anyone tell me where Hanneman decided on where she will play college ball? I don't follow the volleyball super close, but I do know that she is an amazing kid from a great family as well as a great athlete. She is super deserving of a D1 scholarship.

RE fan: why the stupid remarks about the 2007 Ms Volleyball??? She followed her sister to BYU Hawaii to play,( she did have other opportunities) while Hanneman is good Lacey was fantastic and clearly the best server in the history of the state (see records). Each player has their own strengths. Lacey deserved her honors last year and will have a great college career. This year is a good team, lets enjoy their run in the tournment without the diatribes. GOOOO Knights

Hanneman hasn't commited yet. Still looking!

Here's a surprise -

Riverton won region, played a #4 seed, and lost in straight sets. Don't worry, that has always been your goal. To put up another region banner. Have fun! And your basketball team is the best in the state and the same will happen. Win region, lose in state.

if you think heather hannemann is amazing you should see her sister!

Here's another surprise -

Riverton's girls team wins region but loses in straight sets to Davis and turns around and loses to an average Lehi team. Maybe our girls basketball team, rated as best team in state, can win region again so we can put up another banner. Just wish we could do something in state. We need to change our approach. Bingham primes for state in every sport and most of the time, does much better than we do!

Lots of Lone Peak girls don't get offers from D-I Schools. It's a shame. I don't think they get as much credit as they deserve. I guess D-I schools would rather take huge players that hit really hard instead of well-rounded and well-coached players. I'm not a D-I coach, but if I were, I'd look for girls with a lot of heart and not the ones that hit as hard as they can every point.

RE: RE: Fan

And that's why your not a D1 coach. D1 is a business, no matter what anyone says. You take the best physical talent and coach it. If you take the well-rounded and well-coached players that don't physically match up...the coach is looking for a new job.
