Not only is he a great artist, he's a fun person. Ron and I always have enjoyed his work and are not surprized at his success. Did you know he is also a musician, having played guitar, sax, piano and drums at different times in his life? being a lefty hasn't hurt either! Chris, you rock!!!

One must be careful to point out that the definition of success is relative. But based on the criteria that Mr. Christensen sights, I would say he has met success. I'm pleased for him. His work is certainly recognizable.
It is a generalization to imply that many artists believe that angst (an overused term to begin with) is a necessary part of making art. Self-reflection and constructive criticism are perhaps more appropriate terms. And both can be used in very positive ways. I'm sure Mr. Christensen has employed both in his favor many times. And it is always far more interesting to hear how an artist defines and defends his/her work in terms of what it is rather than what it isn't. You could see the later method as creating a negative sense of self. And isn't that more inherently "angsty."

He has a couple of fantastically illustrated puzzles (I don't know where to find them now) that are really fun because of their pictures and their ability to interest all ages. My family has loved them!! I'm glad to find out where to find more of his art.

Isn't 'fish' the plural of fish?
